Panda555, see my "How to make Estuary do as you please" post, where you will find 3 good quality skins I tested with regards to MiniTV (while in a channel list, searching for a channel), which function OK with PurE2, at least as well as intended in that respect...

I do not know if they function fully with FNC plugins etc. Probably not as good and as fully as Estuary... but OK if Estuary is so sooooo "bad" one can't possibly get "used to it"... :suprised::derpthink::eye roll::zip it:

But honestly speaking - in my own name only! - I know how to get over style to deal with the substance and frankly, this is missing in this sense, in these discussions...:thank_you2:

Sorry, I just had to get it off my chest, at least once.... No offence but I think old habits should not get in the way of novelty like this - full HD and full functionality like this LEADS THE WAY and THIS FACT should not be taken for granted! I mean, one should not go for lower functionality based on... I don't know... something we men usually diss when it comes to an alleged "woman's thinking" on various issues...:spit: I say "alleged" because we see the same kind of irrationality in men every day, in every direction, wherever we look, all the time...:head banger: :hello:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1::laugh1:

(Yap, sorry, it was stronger than me, truth be told...:party-time::eye-tongue::tongue1::chuckle::saint:)

I got my Alien2 back, after a few years, heh... Here are the results...

    amikoalien-PurE2-6.5-20200219_usb.zip

Patience is the word one can not overstate with these old beauties... They have their own... rhythm... ;)

    Procedure:

Get the image for Alien2 and unpack it onto a USB stick formatted in FAT32.

Switch OFF Alien2 at the back switch.

Then, USB stick is pushed at the back port of Alien2.

We PRESS AND HOLD the OK button on the A2 front panel, when we switch ON the receiver at the back switch.

When you see FORC on LED let go of the OK button and press the > (right) button next to OK button.

The installation starts and last some 5 minutes...

Booting might last a bit, too, kinda stuck on 34 or 39 (starting home network?), then 49 (it's starting PurE2 at that point)... PATIENCE!

Go make yourself a drink or summat... :rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:

When I finally figured out that it is not going past the 49% I figured out that the HDMI cable was not agreeable with my Alien2, so I changed it and then I could start playing...

One starts configuring PurE2 at that point... language, HDMI, network etc. Past the wizard and then the real fun starts after a reboot...

    I have not killed off the Spark OS/partition. But I only use Enigma2 with PurE2 v. 6.5.

    =====================================================================

First, I have added a 32GB USB stick partitioned in 2: HDD partition of 30GB and 2GB for USB partition, for Flash Expander.

Then, I installed Flash Expander and Swap Manager 2 (this one creates a permanent Swap, as opposed to the built-in Swap Manager) from PurE2 feeds (MENU > Plugins > Extensions and System Apps, respectively). Then, I put them to good use...

Done like this: How to expand ROM and RAM in PurE2

And this: Mounting devices/partitions in PurE2's Device Manager and which files to send where!

I created 512 MB SWAP file on partition 1, because Flash Expander went to USB partition 2.

    My results in words...

    Code
    root@amikoalien:~# free
total used free shared buff/cache available
    Mem: 141500 116016 12200 764 13284 8220
    Swap: 559648 58616 501032

...and in (poor quality) images (had to do it with my phone as WebIF is a bit much for an old Alien2...) ;)

Yify and Streamlord could not be installed, for various reasons... Maybe it will be fixed, we'll see...

    Sooo....

    Sat TV is fine!

ahmed gazye Manual scan works fine!

    344db7d.jpg

IPTV via Ciefp's channel list works fine when Exteplayer3 is chosen in ServiceApp.

OLM-FNC (and similar plugins) is working fine...

Playback from NAS on home network is great!

    Image quality is fabulous!

    Oldie but goldie... :)

:spit: Oych, that is so easy and ABC in any image, really, so I'm baffled...:chuckle:

You have obviously used a few images already and you haven't seen this in any of them?:suprised:

MENU > Setup > System > Subtitle settings > change the values there, wherever you see yellow... and press GREEN button to save the changes... before I see RED...:rasta2bigsmoke0gf1::laugh1::rasta2bigsmoke0gf1::hello

People keep asking me privately, not being able to become members there, so better to put the info here, for all to see and not get frustrated...

Do not use Hotmail, Yahoo etc. on our mother forum, High Definition Digital Satcrew or HD-Digital-Satcrew or as I call it HDSC, which is here:

    http://www.hd-digital-satcrew.…/board2-user-vorstellung/

I use the free and safe, encrypted Tutanota email service or ProtonMail, for instance.

Then, one will be able to activate one's membership... And then one can choose a language etc. German and English used primarily...

Write here if there's a problem.

    Good luck!

P.S. Where are those good email services? Here:

    https://www.tutanota.com/

    https://protonmail.com/

They are good for you! :) Both have free service, as well!

Use those with VPN and ye shall be properly protected from govs, businesses, criminals and hackers alike! ;)

Yes, except you are constantly moving the goal posts - "it is not showing" now (that I showed that is DOES show and hence you were misleading people here) quickly becomes "without covering half the screen" and whatnot but without you acknowledging your mistake... I do not respond to this kind of stuff well, sorry...

Forgot to mention THE PURE2 PRINCIPLE: GIVE USERS THE MOST FREEDOM POSSIBLE TO CHOOSE FOR THEMSELVES WITHIN E2!!!

Having said that, PurE2 has done that without removing automatic stuff for easier transition, so newbies are not blasted out of the water on first try... See. 'device manager' etc.

Read my stickies/top posts and even newbies (with patience and will to learn) will be able to make it all work according to their needs and preferences!!!

Read and think carefully before you write, m8:

Your images prove you do have FFmpeg installed, despite of what you are saying...

I.e. you get FFmpeg with PurE2 plugins, together with Sub Support and Service App, as I explained elsewhere. But our FFmpeg is advanced and maybe incompatible with E2iStream or similar plugins, so one must be careful here, depending on which plugins you use...

I included above the telnet commands to get curl... And so on...

    Good luck!

There is one thing Estuary does not have - Picture in Graphics (PiG)...

So, if you really must have PiG, then this is what you do - with another skin, since Estuary does not have THIS option...

"Channel preview" means Picture in Graphics - that option we do not have in PurE2's Estuary skin, other than transparency set to about 50% or so in MENU > Plugins > Estuary config...

You can try with another skin - but I do not know if ALL PurE2 specific functions will work with other skins (FNC plugins in particular)...

    PiG will be found in:

MENU > Plugins > green button to download more stuff > Skins >

    AX_Blue_FHD_4ATV or

    Aeon_FHD or

    PLi-FullHD, then

change the skin in User Interface > Skin... or

pManager > Video/OSD/Skin > Change skin > confirm the suggested action, to restart E2.

When PurE2 restarts, you must go to:

MENU > Setup > System > Channel Selection settings >

Channel list preview = yes +

Channel list show Mini TV > Yes >

green button to save and then

    Exit to go to

    Standby menu to

    Restart E2.

DO NOT REMOVE THE DEFAULT PURE2 ESTUARY SKIN, as some of its libs will be used by other skins!!!

When you do the above you will get the behaviour you are used to...

THE PURE2 PRINCIPLE: GIVE USERS THE MOST FREEDOM TO CHOOSE FOR THEMSELVES POSSIBLE WITHIN E2 - but without removing automatic stuff for easier transition, so newbies are not blasted out of the water on first try...

Read my stickies/top posts and even newbies (with patience and will to learn) will be able to make it all work according to their needs and preferences!!!

Like PurE2 as an Enigma2 distro, Estuary is the most malleable of Enigma2 skins - and it is made for PurE2, based on legendary XBMC/Kodi experience...

There are many options for users to set for themselves, if they so desire, all easily edited from your sofa, using nothing but your remote controller (RCU)... On your RCU press the MENU button > Plugins...

    136672-a254083fda23-jpg

All of these parameters can be changed to different values and you can have so many elements to your liking - it hurts...

From general looks (Menu style = 5 options) to particular elements... Usually at least 3 options, if not more...

So, let's start from the MAIN MENU - these are the options for that alone (plus one of the backgrounds and there are 4-5 options for that) and when you are done you need to restart:

P.S. When one makes a PurE2 SW update, sometimes one might lose some settings, like "time" or background in Estuary. For Estuary, simply go to Estuary config and press the green button > restart PurE2 (i.e. press OK button to confirm).
