Ensure you have downloaded the right image for the correct receiver.
Installing the wrong receiver image will brick your machine and it will be a right pain to unbrick it.
Always check and double check.
There are some fantastic backup images including blackhole for you in the backup part of the forum, 99% of the hard work has already been done for you in these images. Makes it far easier if its your first time.

2 lnbs were spares just lying around, thought it was time to make use of them!
I have a dual tuner in 2 bedrooms , 1 tv in the kitchen, and 3 kids bedrooms with a feed.
Just managed to setup 13e with extreme ease!
I moved my LNB tight up against the 19e LNB and plugged in my cable, went inside and scanned and managed to get 500 channels, went outside and twisteded the lnb right a little and pulled in over 1,700 channels, been tweeking a little and now im upto 1795!
ordered my diseqz so hopefully that will arrive tommorow and then I can begin tidying up!
Far Easier to setup than I realised and very happy with the results from a 60cm S** dish, Have to see what happens when it rains but living in Ireland I wont have to long a wait!
Signal Strengths on 28.2 are around 80-90% worst being *** News and 3e coming in around 40-50%.
19e strength is coming in at around 60% and 13e coming in around 50%. Im going to leave it for now and only tweek if necessary happy enough with these results until I get a bigger dish.

I Just want to add 13E & 19.2E using S*y standard 60cm dish
I grabbed one of those multi LNB holders of ebay for about €10 with postage, I then connected it to the existing LNB and then turned the dish so the middle LNB points at 19e and then retuned the LNB on the left for 28.2e. (hence the messy cables!) The one thing I did need to do was to nudge the dish a little so it pointed a little higher into the ***, about 1cm. Going to have a play and try to get 13e today.

Rescanned last night 19.2e and it came in just over 1500 channels.
Once its all set up I will tidy lol!
Hi all, just a little update on how I got on,
Tried mounting the other dish onto my existing TV aerial pole but discovered the pole wasn't as thick as the *** Pole so i gave up on that Idea, Decided to give one of those multi lnb bracket holders a go and finally got around to it today.
first I decided to remove my old rusty *** Dish and replace it with my spare dish, I then added 2 extra LNBs, 1 for 19e and the other for 13e.
Ive only hooked up for 19e and 28.2e at the moment but Ive been able to pull in around 1,000 channels from 19e.
I now have a dilemma, Im using a Vu Duo with 1 feed to 28.2 and the other for 19e, is there anyway to connect the 13e lnb without having to detatch one of the other lnbs? Something like a lnb switch?

Hi all, thinking of having a play tomorrow and hooking up another 60cm $ky dish to see if I can pick up any other satellites.
I live in the Irish midlands and was wondering if its a feeble idea trying a 60cm? Is there anything available for me to hunt or is it a case of having to get a 110 cm and above to pick up anything else?

Ok chaps a strange one here!
Just been to my kids football game and when I left I had a 500gb hard drive inside my Vu Duo full of recordered stuff, Think I just had around 60gb free.
Upon returning I have discovered to my horror that I now appear to have just under 500 GB of free memory and everything is clear!
In fact the only 2 files on the hard drive are the movie folder which is empty and a timeshift folder! its as if its had a complete format and reset to a fresh new hard drive!
Now whilst its damn annoying im left to wonder what happened in the space of 2 hours, the wife has told me the kids were simply watching a kids channel for about 10 minutes and nobody else was in the room.
So my questions are,
Has anyone heard on the Vuo Duo self formating its harddrive? Im using open vix, or could my hard drive me on its way out ? Or is it pe*** kids messing with the settings on the duo?
To be honest I would find it hard to think it was the kids as they would have to get very lucky to format the harddrive in the settings but i guess you cant rule anything out!
Anyone heard of this before?
Just noticed that all the threads in relation to *** are either being locked or have been moved elsewhere. I know on the End of and Education one people were asking for the thread to be moved from being an open thread for all to read.
I think its a little unfair if thats happened and some of us including me are no longer to read and contribute, and if its a case that its simply closed and locked can I ask why? nobody mentioned the name *** and i thought everything being discussed was perfectly fine.
How good is the 7 day epg? Do you get a full *** 7day for instance ?

explain a little how you have it set up? are you on oscam only or are you using CCcam? Are you using dvbapi to read the card? You could try putting each card in its own group so group = 1 for one and group = 2 for the second, also remember to define the groups in the user account - ie - group = 1,2
I have both cards in my Vu Duo, I have CCam and oscam on the duo with a N line from Oscam in ccam , I then have N lines to 4 other boxes, 3 in the house and 1 other at my dads.

Thanks, tried that but still have the same issue.
As soon as I added the second reader Oscam stopped working for the first card. The only thing that worked was the Lower card for Ch5 HD, and even then it would share to my other boxes around the house.
Any ideas where im going wrong?

im using Oscam 1.20 unstable svn build 7969.
Im trying to setup Oscam to work with 2 sly cards.
I live in ROI, so my Sly Card wont give me Ch5 HD so I use a freesat from *** card for Ch5 HD.
I tried inputting another reader and changing the label to lower card but alls that did was knock off Oscam for my top card.

Just recently got myself a 3D TV and wanted to buid up a collection of movies shown on the 3D channel from sly.
Card is in the Duo and works perfectly throughout the day, however when I try to record the movie at night the movie starts and then freezes and then I get a blank screen until the next day!
For instance tonight Spiderman was on, so I started recording and 30 minutes into the film the movie froze and then I got a black screen, the recorder was still going but it was as if there was no permission for the channel to decrypt so it just went black. Even If i stop the recording its still black and dead.
Throughout the day I can record anything and everything including the movies they show, its just from 23.00 onwards I seem to have the problem, all the other channels decrypt without issue including HD. I would have taken the card out to test back in the origional box but im recording a programme for the wife so I cant take it out.
Has anyone have a clue to whats going on?
