Thanks for all the replys...I have tried all the commands you guys have have posted even the debian ones from prilly to no avail,,even after reboot i still get you must compile smartreader support in oscam log..as i said in my first post i cant seem to receive the putty info that linux is innitiated adding smartreader support! I think i need to add it manually, via add libusb 1.0.8 manually and make install or otherwise i need to completely redo my oscam build which i suppose aint a major prob.Be good if i can install via commands tho.

I have a linux firewall but that is turned off while inputting commands...

    Many thanks

Does not make any sense whatsoever that especially when your duo is connected via hdmi? 2 tvs connected to sat do you mean 2 tvs connected to duo or 2 seperate receivers?

Another thing is your tv might not like connections being plugged in or taken out while its still on or there is a short maybe at tv end or cabling but still a strange one as you should still be able to put a shorted aerial connection into a tv without that happening.

Try on hotbird and unplug aerial as terrestrial and satellite signals are on a completely different platform and should not affect just 28.2 signals.

    2012/03/05 22:53:04 925A6C8 r ERROR, you have specified 'protocol = smartreader' in oscam.server,

    2012/03/05 22:53:04 925A6C8 r Cannot open device: 002:005

Still getting this guys...ps why was my thread moved..i realise it might generate better help but i prefer to post in a section thats vip based only and if i choose to post in other sections i will...thanks

maybe this is of interest :http://linuxsat-support.com/os…s-smargo-omnikey-etc.html
then again maybe you´ve read it already..

Thanks mate i had not read that but thats what i do with this reader..it shows up as 002:005 on my list of readers which i use as device name but all i get is unknown in oscam.I have tried moving the reader to 002:002 but still the same.

    libusb-dev package installed ?

    Code
    sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0-dev

    & reboot

Thanks i think i installed that b4 but again no message of smartreader support reported in putty with this command..i will try again and reboot.

    Hi all

Is there any linux experts here as i,m trying to get smartreader support on my oscam build and finding it difficult to find the correct commands.I have had a look on the oscam forum but i,m afraid to fart on there lol as i,m no expert and afraid it will be discarded so i thought i would ask you guys here.

Basically i have omnikeys running at present but as i cant actually set voltage or clock frequencys i have bought a pheonix/smartcard reader which runs kinda ok but i would rather run 1 particular nds card on smartreader protocol as i am led to beleive its better than mouse protocol which i currently use but its a bit unstable tbh.

I need putty/terminal to show this or similar below.

    $ cmake -dwebif=1 ..
-- pthread found. Adding pthread support
    -- openssl found.
-- librt found (needed by libusb).
    -- static libusb 1.0 found : /usr/lib/libusb-1.0.a . Adding smartreader support
-- librt found (needed by libusb).
-- Utils: pthread found. Adding pthread support
    -- Utils: static libusb 1.0 found : /usr/lib/libusb-1.0.a . Adding smartreader support
    -- Utils: operating system: Linux
    -- Utils: system type: i686-pc-linux
    -- Utils: system: linux
    -- Utils: cpu: i686
    -- Utils: hw: pc
-- Utils: use system static libusb

I have tried loads of commands but cant seem to add smartreader support to my oscam build, has anyone managed to do this?

Using this OSCAM 1.20-unstable_svn build #6434 x86 on ubunta 11.04

    Many thanks in advance.

Yes as scoot says its not possible at the minute and might never be and i think they are sending some post encryption key down to stop pairing on 3rd party receivers etc..i think its similar to what has happened in Australia with Foxtel.

Paksat 1r cband shows me you would require a 3.5 meter dish m8 for a reliable signal but a 2.4 channel master is a great dish and would probably pick most transponders up but a hefty price for those dishes also.

    Old news that

Load of bollocks...its murdoch...*** in other words has instigated this shit tbh.asswipes so why dont they ban users on the costa del crime as there is at least ...at least 200.000 ex pats subscribing to *** uk/eire..add that subscription bill up..get fucked murdoch...i have tring too haha..

What reader/server are you using and what is your times for sly at present and what were they b4

P.s if its an 0963 card i would recommend blocking everything and updating your entitlements in your original receiver if you have that...i certainly would not use any cccam versions above 2.1.3 for this, maybe mgcamd yes. Some people report its fine to update such cards via these emus but i do not do this..personal preference really and your choice.

Hi ten thanks for the reply below is my oscam config.. is there anything else i can post to see if you guys can help.

    Thanks

Hi has anyone managed to install a firewall on there vu duo with latest vix 3.11 linux image as it keeps telling me package cannot be installed.I have sorted a good firewall for my linux pc but this box is giving me shit when trying to install it from the plugin menu.

I need to invest in a good router as i have no firewall in it but would be good to find one for the duo in the meantine if anyone can help.

    Many thanks in advance.

    romman

i flashed the dreambox with this image i then copied what fhat clines and flines i had saved from my cccam and put them into the new cfg file in this image i then added this n-line to the cfg file N: 127.0.0.1 10001 test1 test2 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256 and put the card in and restarted i then went to the web log in page of oscam it see,s the card ok but no servers or friends what am i doing wrong do i need to open another port on the router or do i need to do anything in the oscam files to be able to see my friends any help is much appreciated

No offence to the forum but you should all be configuring your own servers rather than dupe someone elses setup as it will lead to a dead card nothing surer....

    256 fake locals lol

Configuring a Nova card on third party receivers/servers is relatively simple but sharing to a certain amount of users is where it all goes pear shaped due to the amount of sids that nova now allow per card! which is why most use cluster cache/ csp etc like a spider to get all sids. Mostly private too.. also HD channels now use whats called a tweak key which i think can be obtained from the original receiver itself if you have a bit of know how on how to do this if you wish to receive these channels from your card.

"you say you want a revolution ,well you know ,they all want to change the cs world"....
actually if you read the recent posts there´s a small evolution going on with emus,(sbox, oscam, etc) I´m trying out chameleon at the moment with a friend but can´t really see it catching on, as the majority just want commodity,ie,watch the footie or favourite series.
you can only hope cs continues at least til we get "decent speeds" at a "decent price" ..and total access for iptv etc..

Sbox is a fantastic emu and it was initially designed for nagra 3 and is still rated the best one to use with nagra as its support is tremendous but new patches have now been applied to allow other providers, oscam on the other hand is your best friend and also your worst enemy lol..to be really safe send clines with reshare stopped..never send an nline or cws line if you can especially to someone you do not know or trust but you can easily monitor activity in oscam anyway which is good but all the same try and avoid sending n or cws lines as you are after all sending your cards serial number!

The protocol you are using now cazuela could be good, everything is worth a shot to see how it performs and what is available, obviously you have to weigh up what providers you can get with it,using new emus or private ones could be what we will have to do in the future as all known providers know what is being used to share/read their cards as its worldwide and on the web lol, also it would,nt be that hard to design your own emu if you have someone in that frame of mind and willing to do it for you.. most of the emus we use are all patched to fook like all those nasty nagra 1 images that floated about all over the net in those days and were easily traced so a personally designed custom cam could be the future for cs..

Anyway i know people moderating cardshare forums who are against cs and are only interested in hacking the encryption,,, fair play then we will watch tele while you waste your time haha as they are dreamers if they think its gonna be like the old n1 days,,unreal eh ..cs is here for a good few years yet at least but i am under no illusion its here forever far from it,nds in particular are not quiet especially italy where they are hitting cards 093b,, so the uk/ germany anywhere could be next,, so it aint quiet its happening now and is a waiting game for the next attack, really its just a bit like cat and mouse!,, we also have all these dirty payserver forums and sites killing it and unfortunately even joe public who shares to his family to cover costs will also get whatever is round the corner on providers minds.

Also cazuela get yourself a couple of cheap european cards and exchange them as clines and you will get good packages in return so you have good tele and no need to worry about speeds/costs or more importantly servers being busted..just watch their speeds to tell if its a payserver you are exchanging with and monitor your own cards activity..also beware of any irdeto 2 packages as their is software available that increases those speeds by 50% and above using an emulator called vmware.

Anyway i am a cs man and its here to stay i hope...fingers crossed

I would,nt buy a dm500 if you are driving motor with it as they sometimes stop driving the motor.. tm500super or tm600 i would recommend which are both in your price range. if its just for fixed satellite then a dm500 is fine but some clones are very bad.
