I have the quad mate brilliant box to, I got mine fitted with a dvb-t tuner, working brilliant have vix on it so far so good. Getting the saorview channels as well on vix image one of the main reasons I bought it.
You could buy a usb tuner for VU just an option but keep it mind.
It may not have the support of other images as far as Im aware.

I dont have a single tuner but from reading the best image for your receiver is PKT image.

Just edit the bits in red and leave the rest alone, ftp the files over to var/keys when finished, you can copy and paste the info into your text editor and save leaving you with 3 files. You may not need the user and conf files depending on the image. For HDMU i dont you will need them but can not be sure, being a while since I used it.

CCam will not work on alien.
You will have to convert your C line with Ccam to oscam converter. Have a google for, it it maybe on here not sure.
this will generate the files you need, it will give you two files, a oscam.user file and a oscam.server file.
You will find oscam in the hdmu downloads in your image, go to plugins, download plugins and I think from memory there called emus on it.
FTP your 2 files over to var/keys or usr/keys.
install oscam if or you can have a look for oscam ymod its probably the best
restart box, put channel on pay tv channel, start oscam,
You should be good to go then.

Hope this helps its being a while since I used this box and that image and this is coming from memory.

Would I be able to do this from two different images, lets say I have team red image installed on the gigablue, and want to reinstall vix, could i point the team red image to restore the vix image image from usb or ftp in over and then install it.

Yeah it a full backup. its 87.4 mb in size.
So i Just copy the gigablue folder to root of stick and insert in the back of the box and press ok when prompted.

This evening I did a backup of my vix image, but noticed all I had in it the backup was 2 files, the kernel bin and rootfs.bin. When I installed the image i had 8 files.
So how do i reinstall this image if I need to reinstall it and can I reinstall from within the vix image. Blue button, vix.

Can some one point me in the right direction, im looking for a plugin called cache flush.

Is it available for the vix image for the gigablue quad.
I came across clare mem plugin is it the same thing.

I have a new saorview aerial on roof connected to splitter in attic, ran cable from splitter to back of receiver and that was it.

Just tuned them in then.

Just want to upload it here the way it is, because it might help somebody out. Just taught if I edited Ccam config and then did a backup it would be ok, containing no sensitive information.
Its a fixed setup for 28.2. Ireland

Im pretty sure it will backup the entire image including those you mentioned above.
If you are thinking about uploading somewhere be carefull coz it will even keep sensitive stuff as well.

If i want to upload a backup, would I be correct in saying if i just edit the Ccam.cfg file that it would be then it would be ok to upload it. i am using Ccam with an Nline.

Just to let people know, I have the gigablue quad with the latest vix image installed and it is finding the saorview channels. i had a dvb-t tuner installed in it when i purchased it.

Did a scan last night and found them. Watching them perfectly.

In softcam manager oscam 8699 is now starting.
But I am still not able to clear s** channels.

When I hit blue button and choose oscam info and select show
i get the message: Errror/Error 146 Connection refused.

I have installed oscam in the vix image in my new gigablue quad. I un-zipped the oscam file . Copied the file called oscam to usr/softcams.

Rename the file oscam.8699 or oscam.**** being the number of oscam release. Change the permissions to 755 (CHMOD 755) and then go into the softcam panel and it should be there.
It is appearing in in softcam manager and i set it to autostart.

But keep getting message OSCAM No config files found please setup oscam first in etc/tuxbox/config

I then ftp'd over my user, server, conf files to var/etc/tuxbox/config.
I also tried 0scam 8639

But it is still not clearing channels.

The version of oscam im using is
oscam-svn8699-mips-tuxbox-oe2.0-webif-Light.tar.gz

In the config folder i have the above 3 files, should there be any more like a dvapi file or anything.

Did that mate its not showing up,
Ok could i just extract the ipk file and ftp the usr folder over to "/"
I know you can do this on the alien but not sure about this image over receiver.

Does vix support the dvb-t tuner for the saorview channels
