i am trying to set up an optibox spider, all I am getting is a black screen, the line is connected and I m able to log in from pc and also watch you tube videos.
This is wrecking my head, I have also adjusting resoultion from 1080p to 720p and all the rest.

be greatfull for any help or has anyone out there one of these boxes to be able to give some info.

Does anyone know how to change language in the Hd Freaks image for the gigablue quad.
I had Installed it in english, but after installing updates on the image its chnaged to a foreign language, german or polish i think.

being through the menus looking for anything that resembled language but cant find anything.

How do I install the following scripts:
When I try to use 1channel in xbmc I get the following message.
module.t0mm0.common
url resolver
module metahandler
module.myconnpy.

I have downloaded the plugins and extracted them and sent the 1channels plugin into /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/XBMCAddons/XBMC
Should I also install the 1channel plugin ipk

I have t he same problem, when I go into softcam ci it is not listed there for some reason i But I have Tspanel installed, go into softcams, it is showing up there.
That is what i use to restart it. Open Mips On gigablue quad.

Have you sorted out you cam.cfg file.

How ever I also have oscam, and mgcamd installed and they are showing up in softcam ci.

Where can I get either mgcamd or oscam for open mips. I have installed mgcamd 1.35a and also the open mips softcam collection from here both said they were installed correctly but I am getting nothing in /usr/keys
also tried oscam and nothing is showing up /var.

Installed 1.35a I had 1.38 instlalled.

I have mgcamd installed, 1.38C, I am trying to configure it to open my nline. I have uploaded the above in post 2. Thanks master g
I have my line as follows: N: anyone.org 52111 user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 in newcamd.list.
Its the only line in the list.
I am running open rsi, on a gigablue quad ue 800.

Is there anymore configurations or files I need to add.

I would highly recommend the gigablue quad, I have three tuners in mine, 2 sat tuners and one dvb-t tuner for the terrestrial stations. Very fast box. Never had any vu receivers so cant comment on them but never had any problems with the quad so far. But if you decide to go with the quad you might want to wait for the new quad plus, as far as I am aware the changes are only cosmetic, but you can decide.

try this and see if it helps. Restart your network after you have it restarted go into adapter settings, when there go to edit DNS, and add another sever, type 8.8.8.8 (google) hit ok , ok again and then close and exit all the way back out and try and download your plugins again

Just wondering has anyone seen the new specs of the quad plus which is due to be released shortly. i have seen a few images and there mainly cosmetic. Just wondering about the specs of it .

Being messing around with this for the past a few days and try to recreate the above and have come to the conclusion its the LNB at fault. For no apparent reason I get the message tune failed on the quad. But when I go into kitchen and switch of the 800ue, and restart the quad all is good. If I dont restart the quad I get message tune failed on all channels and the channels will not come back on. The only other way round this is to leave the quad off for half an hour. Turn off the 800ue and restart the quad and then restart the 8ooue.
All is then good, on both receivers.
If anyone has come across this problem before please let me know before I buy a new LNB. At the moment the wind and rain is bad over here (Ireland) But it never affects the 800 ue.

thanks musogeek. I will try that. The strange thing is it happens roughly about every 3 week give or take.
I plugged ariva 150 and all ok regarding the cables.
The box is on a shelf safe so I know it wont get hit with a flying football :haha: and there is no chance of anyone disturbing the cables at rear which is what I first taught when this happened.

I keep getting this message for no apparent reason, I could be watching s** sports and all of a sudden the screen goes blank and the message comes up "Tune Failed".
When I try to watch a different channel the same happens and also with FTA.

This has happened now on several different images.

I have restarted the receiver but to no avail.

When I try and and do a fresh scan it says there is nothing connected and to check tuner configuration.
When I check the tuner configuration all is as it should be.

The only way I can fix this is to install a fresh image every time which is a pain in the ass.
Anyone with ideas on how to fix this.

The image is open mips

I just installed a skin that does not load the all the info. Menu and all the rest is blank.
How can I delete the skin through filezilla or what directory are the skins stored in so I can delete it from there.

its a pity because it is not a bad image but I do not like the way hobbit skin shows the programs lists etc. They put a lot of work into the boot screen which looks good but probably would have been better trying to fix the above or spending more time on it, Because I never completely shut down my receiver, and so It rarely needs a full reboot.

I just installed this image a few days ago. The skin that is on it is the hobbit skin. I have tried several other skins from the plugins server. The problem is the skin gets installed no problem, But when I go into the bouquets and say I choose Entertainment it shows all the channels but where it shows whats is on at that time, the writing is all messed up, either it shows the top half of the writing or less of it for that particular program.

I have tried several skins and they are all the same apart from the hobbit skin which is the only skin that works correctly. I am obvious missing something or need to install something to fix but am at a loss as to what it is.

Be great-full for any help or info.

I agree with fano, I always do it through spark. Never had issues yet and while youre in spark using the same plugin do a backup before you do an upgrade.
