Many thanks mckee25. Now my tuner/tuners are setup, and VBox positions written down and saved in my SS file, it will be no problem to setup on a new image.

Thanks to this Forum, I have once again learnt something about this great hobby. One other question, I have heard/read that Vix will at sometime not be supported for much longer? Or is that just scaremongering.

    Thank you all again.

Thanks mckee25, I have done that, Image backup and a full backup.
One last thing. If I change to another Image, from Vix to OpenATV or Blackhole will the tuner configs be the same? I remember changing from an old Vix Image 3.0.808 to Helios that I could not use the backup because of Image change. I think?

    Hi guys and gals,

I know I have read this somewhere, and I have been searching for about 41/2 hours for the answer. How can I save my tuner and satellite positions. Every time I have updated or changed the image on my VU+ Solo2, I have to re-configure the tuners and satellite positions. Is there an easy way to 'Save or Backup the tuner settings?

    Any all suggestions appreciated

Sussed out what was wrong. Trying to run the latest, 0.8 I think, xepg software. Uninstalled, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 now running ok with 0.6. I think the software builds are right, but please bear with me it is now 23:36 and I am kn******d.

Admin, can you please close this thread? Thank you

As I thought opentv providers has a green tick beside it. Updated image to 008, went through the settings again, xepg is as the Phoenix Team Vix 2013 Tutorial. I do believe it is something I have not configured properly with xepg settings. I will attempt to grab some screen shots of the settings. Perhaps someone can run their eye over them and see if they are correct. All I have to do now is find out how to upload the images :doubt:

    Hi,

This might have been asked elsewhere in the forum, please forgive me if it has. I have setup my xepg as tutorial by Phoenix Team Vix 2013. Image is latest Vix Apollo.03 on a VU+ Solo2. OK, I have made my own bouquets, ie Favourites, Films, Sports, Documentaries and Kids, I prefer them like this because of the HD problem. Whenever I go to one of my bouquets and see what is on, all the channels are there but no information. Once I start to watch, ie BBC East, and go up through the channels they all start to reappear. I have, as I said earlier followed the tutorial but when it comes to download and populate the channels it tells me that it is downloading but nothing appears, no reading channels, no loading only a quick "Finished" and that is it. :59: This used to work fine until a couple of days ago. What have I missed??

    Any/all help appreciated

Hi mckee25, I have used your backup image and tweeked it to my liking, skins, plugins etc. All is up and running as it should and I am chuffed again. Very good backup image, well done.

    Thanks again for your help.

Thanks mckee25 for getting back. Iv'e tried the blue button, nothing, went through menu, setup, etc and still will not start. I did have the softcam when I pressed blue button now it is missing from the menu. Went into DCC and had a look for CCcam and it shows, viewed it and all configs seem to be in there, but still no start??? What have I missed?? I have just seen your Helios Backup image, including CCcam 2.1.3 and will give that a try.

Just seen your reply and will try that first. Thanks again.

Still looking on the forum for some little light to shine on me

    Help,

I have installed new image, openvix-Apollo.001-vusolo2_usb. Tspanel, Tsmedia, and CCcam 2.3 installed, but I cannot "Autostart" the cam I have loaded ccline as given to me, but cannot get it to work.

Any/all assistance would be much appreciated. If it still will not work I will have to revert back to openvix 808.

    Thanks in advance,

Really scratching the old brainbox here :72:

    Hi all,

    Slightly confused.

On some channels, ie, watching Dave and Motorway Cops, or Discovery or any program with commentary, I get backround commentary being spoken in between pauses with the proper commentary. Is this a new thing brought in by the program makers? or have I not setup my VU+ Solo2 properly after Flashing Image Update and before Image Update. Image used, openvix-3.0.802.

I hope my question makes sense, and any help appreciated.

Just read another post on this subject and checked my Audio channel and it is not set to NAR. I will check Audio setting again if this happens again.

I tried using the solo2+ to switch on/off, change channels etc, on my tv. Believe me it isn't worth it. Keep your remote with/to whatever it came with. Although I had problems there is always a workaround on this forum.

I personally think that this is the only forum that has somebody that has the knowledge and is keen to help us, that are and do struggle sometimes to get our boxes up and running. I wouldn't go anywhere else for support. I know I have said this before, but, my thanks go out to all you guys/gals that have helped me in the past, and I hope in the future. I am still, slowly, learning more and more.

    Thanks again one and all.

My latest venture into Linux. Have now installed XBMC into Ubuntu and now I can retire to the PC and watch something different, if the Dear Wife is watching one of her programs, (NOT! I might add "Soaps") we are both past that type of rubbish.
btw, XBMC is available for Windows as well.
