You should connect cable to tuner B. There is an issue with looping from A to B. B to A is fine.

If as you say there is an issue? I have had mine connected this way since new. What is this issue?? Please explain. When I want to see another program from another satellite, (from any satellite to any other), I go into the satellites respective Bouquet and press OK for whatever channel, and my dish moves to the channel on that satellite and 'hey presto' I can view it.

I completely agree with kevin1, but my dish is 20 metres away in the back garden and the cable going to the dish and motor is under ground through 1.5" pipe and sealed both ends, and its been there since 1990. Hence the single lnb.

Because I only have a single output lnb, I have configured my tuners to: 'A' for all satellites and 'B' Loop through to 'A'. Don't forget I have a 1.2 CM Motorised Dish, so my signal on 28.2 is between 80-100%, all according to what particular channel I am watching. There is not much degradation on the other sats I have locked onto, 23.5E, 19.2E, 16E, 13E, 4.8E and 0.8W. I would say the tuners are very sensitive. I am using the latest Open VIX. I have tried most of the others but the way Vix works keeps my better half happy.

Hi mkohman, I own a VU+Solo2 for the past 18 months and very glad I bought it. Yes the VU+Solo2 has 1.3 GHz Dual Core CPU, Twin DVB-S2 Tuners, Dolby Digital + and DTS supported. I used to have, a Technomate, (now stored in the loft) and come over to Enigma 2. My personal opinion, buy the VU.

Setup stb with #37 backup image. All setup, 7 sats setup, skin and epg. The only setup I cannot do is 'Software Update'. Keep getting a message "Check my Internet Connection". That is setup and working fine, streaming and connection to PC. What am I missing? Also unable to download/add plugins from 'Plugins', but they and anything else can be ipk'ed.

    Any help/advice please.

May I butt in here? First and foremost you need an image, then follow the guide by Pheonix after you have setup your tuners. You also need to input your Latitude and longitude, (where you are living, 'Satfinder 'is ideal for this. (There is on this forum a VU+ Solo2 Setup that can be downloaded). If you have a static dish, pointing to Astra 28 S** UK you need an upto date channel list. That can be found @ 'Settings' on this forum, this will give you just Astra 28 or anything from 75E-61W, that's a lot of sats. When you come to; Menu, Setup System, go through the VU+ Solo2 Setup.

Hope this is of some assistance

ok if you do make a backup and flash with same type of image vix to a new vix image will all those settings including nline config files also go back onto box after backup thanks

My backup worked OK. As an 'infant' to watching TV through my STB, my answer to your first question would be, try them all. Start of with a 'Backup Image', that way you will most probably get most if not all the extras that go with that image. I personally started of with OpenVix, and have tried BlackHole, great image, ATV, PLI and a few others. Went back to OpenVix, to keep my wife happy as far as EPG, Channel change buttons etc. It is an individual thing and what you prefer.

Thanks annie12, got it sussed last night. Installed Vix 23 and Cccam 2.3 and all is back and running as it was. I didn't forget to back-up, like several times before, I'm still learning, and chuffed. btw checking my emails this morning and there seems to be another one from you know who??? I will post in the right section when I look at it.

Has anyone experienced any problems with Cccam 2.3? I lose, you know what ***, and when I restart cam get the signal back again but get a jittery picture and sometimes freezes, and picks up again later. Seems to be getting worse.

    Any/all assistance or tips appreciated.

I have just had a thought, DER, could it be I have not got the latest Vix Image installed???

Thanks toothfairy. I suppose I am too quick to buy new (except the Harley, could not turn it down. Got a brand new HD, £16,745 for £13,999, and a good trade-in for my 14 year old R.K.C. Should be delivered this week, coming from Birmingham HD, Stratstone. Now to order that motor. I'll let you guys know how I progress :59:

Latest on the crack in my dish. Had an old friend round, he has an auto repair and maintenance business, and he had a look at the crack and said, "Your wasting your money on a new dish, key the crack and use P40 to seal and repair the crack at the back of it and then put a small amount in the front. Your lucky, it will not interfere with the signal and it is not a weakness crack". He has repaired a few cars, including my old Supra, and knows about fibreglass. So, I shall just order the Moteck and go from there. Will keep you informed how I get on.

btw, bought a new Harley as well.

Thanks, digi247, Andy at The Satellite Shop is making sure everything is, as is and complete before I order the new parts, and there is no rush. I will leave the dish set at 28.2 for now and then when I get the new dish and motor make sure it is all setup at 0.8W. Many thanks, again to you all for your input.

Had a look, cwebb66, but it looks like a 97cm is the largest they do. It looks like The Satellite Shop is where I will be getting the dish and motor from and Andy cannot understand, no more than me Why the dish decided to crack. Although several years ago when the 24" linear motor I had on it, broke the bottom bearing and the dish was all over the place. Oh well there goes my Harley upgrade for a few more months. By the way my Road King is up for sale, year 2000, too many extras to mention here, including Chrome Front end + all original parts. The new HOG will have to wait for now.

A friend of mine in Belfast has been using a Moteck for a while now and has had no problems at all

    Thanks Prophet,
Looks like it is the way I am going to go. Whilst cleaning around the area of my dish, (its mounted on a 3ftx3ftx3ft concrete slab I put in around 16 years ago) I thought W.T.F!! The dish has a crack from the LH support/LNB holder about 6". Now I know it was not me or my wife damaged it, but last night about 10 ish the floodlight with built in sensor was on when I went into the kitchen. "Probably another cat" I thought. Did not see anyone but it might have been one of those blasted Peacocks my village is plagued with. Oh well more expense, only another couple of hundred quid to spend. The Moteck apparently, comes with a polar mount for a Raven, was Andrews, was Channel Master, so for £380, dish and Moteck, I am going that way. I know what you are all going to say, "Repair the damage, its only Fibreglass" Agreed but stresses on a 1.2CM and my location cannot take a chance. Anyway, I will have to get out my thinking cap again for setup. Now where did I put my notes from the original installation.

Thanks to you all for your input and tips.

    Thanks, cwebb66.

Now I am in two minds, Moteck or Superjack. I have just searched for 18" Superjack again and found 'FalconSat' £30+ delivery? now that is cheap. Have sent them an email "Is the 18" Superjack a genuine Jaeger?" and guaranteed. We will see when they answer, and quote the 'SOGA'.

Thanks for that digi247, the 1224 was what I was interested in several years ago. My CM is fibreglass and the top and bottom bearing supports are a bit loose, so when the dish is pushed West or East there is about 25-30mm movement at the lnb. This doesn't interfere with the signal as I have setup only 28.2 at present. All other sats are saved except their respective bouquets. I might just stick with a new Superjack for now, saves all this declination and inclination all over again.
