[/FONT]As you are aware, Tandberg/Director encryption system has been hacked by the highly esteemed guru Colibri. Tandberg (or Director) encryption system is used for very few channels (like Arena Sports on 39 East), CNBC on 68.5 East ,but it is widely used for encryption of major sports events live feeds (like Olympics, Wimbledon, Premier League etc.) @ 7.0e and 10e (credits @ engineerkhan15).
Director system innovated by Tandberg (Its name is Ericsson now) and works on tandberg and ericsson IRDs. So, director is the encryption name and tandberg is the company name of the encoder/receiver. The exact name of this encryption is TTV DirectorV5 and also known as Director 5 or DIR5.But in this tutorial, tandberg will be used for its name

[/FONT]There have been several ways to open the encryption, but the focus here will be enigma 2 receiver. For Linux receivers (E2) you can use oscam-emu, just make sure you are using a recent version. To test whether your oscam-emu supports Tandberg simply delete the emu reader (oscam. server) and restart oscam-emu. The auto-created emu reader should have caid 1010, if not, you need a newer version. Attached is a working version of oscam-emu for those who want a working bin file

[/FONT]Install oscam-emu if you know your way around it, or first of all install oscam from your image feeds and replace the bin file, Bin file is named “oscam” place in /usr/bin/ right click the file and change permission to 755 and config files goes to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam/
Softcam goes into /usr/keys/ Download latest oscam-emu here

Now, oscam-emu should be working, and should be showing in the softcam panel as “OSCAM”

[/FONT]AU keys work only in channels that have x83 packets, such as the EPL feeds in 11020 V @ 7E. Regular channels such as Arena Sport @ 39E don't contain x83 packets and AU don't work. (credits Kebien)
Also put AU = 1 under you emulator reader
on my softcamkey you should have 64 keys representing the rom keys.

The MTN wordwide tv ecm keys are changed by the provider frequently,almost every 15 mins,so you will have to be changing keys regularly
its not worht it updating softcam.key by serjoga,therefore you need to work on autoroll on your box,to save yourself the stress

In this tutorial am going to explain how to use Powervu with dreambox without stream relay
For those who don’t have dreambox, you will have to activate stream relay to make it work, without stream relay is only for dreamboxes.

Tested on Dreambox 800se clone with Openpli 4, I believe any image should work, but go with PLi most people are using that
I tested the two satellites NSS 7 at 20.0°W>> MTN Worldwide TV and Eutelsat 7 West A at 7.3°W >> BW TV

1. You can flash your dreambox with the current image
2. Scan your channels you watch to watch
Always change the satellite.xml to make a good scan,The file is found in /etc/tuxbox/ but for Openpli its found in /etc/enigma2/ >> Satellitite.xml file can be downloaded here satellite.xml
3. Install your oscam-emu, but first of all install oscam from openpli feeds and replace the bin file,Or simply download the oscam emu with configs
Bin file is named “oscam” place in /usr/bin/ right click the file and change permission to 755 and config files goes to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam/
Softcam goes into /usr/keys/

The 1F86 is the SVID of the channel, you can get from your dreambox, from the info menu

That’s the same as the SID, its already in HEX format because dreambox already converts
it for you

The rest are emm key for autoroll to work, all congis will be attached, everything configured out
Most providers are not sending emm key again so you need to be on channel when emm is send to get autoroll working
Others too have blacklisted public posted working emm, especially sports24….so u need to search for valid emm key to get it working

Very important, after changing keys, remember to restart oscam from panel or picture will not show

ABOUT AUTOROLL
- The oscam.conf is setup to autoroll with emm keys in the softcam. Key
you need to look for the valid emm key,BWTV only send the EMM stream for a very short time each day.And until they send while watching the key will not update

Type in browser to assess oscam webif

for you to know autoroll will work,You should see something like this in oscam live log
(reader) emulator [emu] EMM: reader 0E00 match since emmpid has no provid -> SEND
Relax, this means oscam is ready to receive the EMM for the UA listed in your emm key line in softcam

for prime focus,you can still get the mti,cut it into 2 and get another lnb with pf feedhorn and join them together,or if you have the adjustable feedhorn,find ways of attaching it with the other end of the lnb you cut with the lnb connector

I have not used Inverto range of lnbs but the mti is a sure power

MTI AP82-XT2N HIGH GAIN LOW NOISE TWIN LNB (0.2DB)

here in Africa we use the digisat,superHD,fujigold and fujistargold 4 way lnbs
And for even better performance we modify them

Of course there will be a signal improvement with quad lnb....bcos quad lnb is to serve 4 boxes,its of much power than the single or dual from the same manufacturer....Am not talking from hearsay,but my 5 years of tracking fringe reception.

you need to put the keys manually bud
replace the softcam.key file in etc\tuxbox\config\ with your edited one

you write click the file to see the options menu...

look at this tutorial by MasterG could be helpful >> Guide for enigma2 ipk files installation

then ftp into your dm800HD with any ftp client like DCC or filezilla as explained in the tut
and ftp to usr/bin and change the oscam there, make sure to change permission to 755....b4 that remame the old oscam to oscam1 and add the new bin file
so you can revert if all did not go well

Here once again to update peeps on improving and getting the best out of fringe satellite reception, to get the best out of fringe reception it’s important we consider these things
>> Little patience
>> Experience (very important) you need to confirm if anybody had been able to track that sat in your hood
>> Sensitive tuner
>> Very good lnb

Sensive Tuner
When it comes to tuner sensitivity, those of us in Africa will no doubt go for the strong receivers
However, the technomate series of receivers have one of the best tuners (I stand to be corrected), because fringe satellite tracking is elusive, you need very sensitive tuner to augment your efforts

How to modify the mti for best performance (increase 3-5% signal)
This is because in fringe reception, even +1 signal increase is important, things are not taken for granted >>
