Issue resolved....

I have changed to oscam and it looks like it has resolved the issue, its not happened since changing.

Not sure why CCcam would cause that issue, can someone explain?

Use the basic oscam dvbapi configs. If you have a C or N line use CCcam2Oscam to convert them to a [reader]. Place the converted [reader] into oscam.server file. If you have a card tell us what it is so we can provide configs.. Oscam config files should go into /etc/tuxbox/config folder..

Which build was the settings restore from ? Could you try a fresh reflash without the settings restore to see if the problem persists.

The box also has had "!tune failed" once this week, i have re terminated f-cons just in case.
I will test termination first then then try changing to oscam.

I dont have a card....

If it happens again i will do fresh install from scratch with latest image.

My restore was from v147.

Yeah i have been using 2.3.0 but wonder if the version of server makes a difference?

Im not sure its Cccam related but im using a technomate nano2 super, couldn't get oscam to work on it when setting up for the first time. Can oscam be used on the nano if so how do i set it up.

I have just usb re-flashed unit with vix 166 and used an older settings restore but issue came back after 5 mins of being on.

I couldn't attach debug log , the issue started around 18:58, not sure if debug shows time but happend 2 mins before switched off.

I have posted else where on the forum regarding this issue but thought this may be more appropriate.

I have a Tech Nano2 Super with latest Vix image running cccam but 2/3 times a day the unit loses pay channels, only a reboot brings them back, tried restarting soft cam but doesn't do anything.

Its not the connection as i also have a Blade 7000 using the same and this is ok....

I'm not sure where the issue is but it seems its either the box hardware or Cccam client, or maybe neither but i don't know what!!!

the server is running cccam 2.1.3 and im using 2.3, does this matter?

Any Ideas or help much appreciated.

So its between the lx2 and the miracle premium twin HD??
So does the miricle twin CPU dual core 400 have any benefits over the lx2 single core 700??

Couple of other things that might sway me.

1)Which box has the best support and images?
2) does the lx2 have an internal HDD bay?
3) if I choose 1x sat and 1x dvb-t2 tuner can I watch one, record one between tuners?

Looking to upgrade my Alien 2 as ive moved house and lost Vermin!

Not going to buy another thing from the cowboys that sell the AA2 but that's another story!

Need a PVR with sat and freeview but cant decide between the Miriclebox Twin, Gigablue HD+ or the new LX3

I know the LX3 is fairly new receiver and very fast but not sure what he support will be like?

For the cost is the Miricle box worth the money coming from alien, i noticed theirs not much support for it and as its and older box might not get as much as the new LX3?

I'm looking at getting a duo2 with a twin Sat and single DVB-t2 tuners but wanted to know how the unit handles recording! I assume it depends on what images is used but can it record x1 freeview and x1 sat while watching the other sat ok? Does anyone else have the setup mentioned and can you share any issues if any? Is the DVB-t2 tuner effectively a twin tuner (record 1,watch 1) or is it just a single.

Your explanation is very vague!!!
Not sure what you want to know!!!
Do you want to switch between spark and enigma2?
Or do you want to log in to the oscam webif to change settings??

Make sure you have the 2 image files in the root of a USB
With the stb powered off plug the USB in, while holding the OK(on unit) button turn the stb back on.
Keep holding the OK button until the display changes to "forc".
Now press "down" until enigma is displayed.
Now press right then OK.

This should start to boot the enigma image, if not it with display t. -to..

Let me know how it goes, if you have any issues there are lots of threads about this on the forum so use the search button.

Use a different VPN provider or search your issue with hidemyass as it looks like there is workaround!!

As above post i use IPVanish and this does hide the DNS but reading up on hidemyass it has problems with DNS leaks!!!

Speed usually drops by 1-2Mb on 30Mb line depending on server connected to.

I have had no speed drop on some servers at certain times of the day.

Just to let you know i updated the software today via the interface and the box will not boot, stuck on load! Not a biggy as i have a backup but wanted to let others know.
I update the software when i first installed the image and tried again today but this time crashed.
Any ideas on what the updates where?

At the moment i'm using the Alien2 and looking to upgrade to the Duo twin but wondered if its worth saving a bit more and getting the solo2??

I will be reading up on these when i get more than half hour but wanted to check with more knowledgeable VU owners!

I have yet to look at the images available for both these boxs but i'm assuming most images are generally very good!

Any advice would be a great help.
