How To Use the Filebase (Downloads)

The Filebase is the forum’s download library — images, plugins, settings files, picons and tools shared by the community.

Find a File

Open the Filebase from the main menu, then browse by category or use the search box. Each category groups files by type — for example receiver images, settings, or plugins.

Check Before You Download

On a file’s page, read the description, the supported devices, and the version so you know it matches your receiver. Check the upload date to make sure you are getting the latest release.

Download a File

Click the Download button on the file’s page. Some files may require you to be logged in, or to have reached a certain membership level — this is noted on the page. Always extract and use files exactly as described in the file’s instructions.

Leave a Review

If a file worked well, leave a review and rating. This helps other members choose the right file and thanks the uploader for their work.

Report a Problem

If a download is broken, out of date, or in the wrong place, use the Report option or post in the relevant support board so staff can fix it.

Uploading Your Own File

Got something useful to share? Click Upload File at the top of the Filebase and fill in the form:

  1. Add the file — click Upload to attach it from your device (up to 400 MB), or choose External URL if it is hosted elsewhere. Common types are allowed (zip, rar, 7z, ipk, apk, m3u, xml, png and more).
  2. Choose the Category — pick the Category that matches your file, for example Enigma2 Images, Enigma2 Plugins, Enigma2 Settings, Enigma2 Skins, IPTV or Softcams. The right category is what makes your file findable — if you are unsure, pick the closest match and a moderator can move it.
  3. Set a version — enter a Version Number (for example 1.0.0) so future updates can be tracked.
  4. Describe it — add a clear Title, a short Teaser, and a full Description covering what it is, the supported devices or images, and how to install it. You can add screenshots from the editor’s Attachments tab.
  5. Submit — click Preview to check it, then Submit. New files may be reviewed by staff before they appear.

Updating a File — Don’t Create Duplicates

Please do not upload a new entry for content that is already in the Filebase. To release an update or fix for a file that already exists:

  • Open the existing file and use Add a New Version — raise the version number and add your changes. The entry keeps its downloads, reviews, comments and link, and everyone following it is notified of the update.
  • If it is someone else’s file, do not re-upload it — comment on the file or ask the author. They can add you as an Additional Author so you can add versions to the same entry.
  • Duplicate entries for the same content may be merged or removed to keep the Filebase tidy.

Whatever you share, please follow the forum rules on permitted content.
