    so i placed it at the bottom of my oscam.keys list in the section full of leading 'p' characters like this:

    P 0000 00 D06BE505A8A436 ;

    P 0000 01 3530605CF4F44D ;

    I don't know what it should be, but P 0000 is probably wrong

    look at this example below

    Code
    P 0BB8 00 3B8A47041F4520 ;Discovery Turbo Xtra HD, 1W, 12303
    P 0BB8 01 E17F25E6F776D6 ;Discovery Turbo Xtra HD, 1W, 12303

    P = powervu

    0BB8 = video pid

    there are 2 key for the same channel, one is active the other is the next key when the active one expires that is the 01 and 00

    then the key

    channel name

    sat

    tp

    Take note of the gaps in the example above

    To find your video pid, select the channel you want to watch, with your remote, menu - information - service - green button

    in my example

    Video PID: 0x0bb8 (3000d) becomes edited to 0BB8

    saved it to /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam.keys.

    your softcam key file is at usr - keys

    It is easier to use oscam webif your box ip address :8888

    like 192.168.1.13:8888

    click on files - other files - softcam.key

    edit and save it there directly, reboot your box after you make changes to test

    Perhaps enigma1969 would be nice and help

  • i'm sorry. week 3 of owning my receiver. but i read months before getting it and planning to have some form of oscam running.
    not so easy i see! before getting it i stored quite a few key sources in my favorites.
    i can read router logs, firewall logs very well. there are many sources where a person could find a solution to or figure out what a particular setting would do. and also debug a log.

    so. oscam is full of settings. and convenient logs.
    enigma buddy. "look the log". i have! over and over and over.
    a carpenter amazes me. they take a pile of lumber and before you know it.....there's a house!!
    take my log here. jensen guided me to where i could find my video pid.
    i did. the channel i would like to get (just to test to keep me from running all over the place to get JUST 1 pv channel to decode).
    playboy tv. it's right above reelz on 127w.
    the channnel has vpid of 02c6.
    so i edited my key file....and "guide" shows as the channel. and i see many other channels show as guide in the log.
    so:

    3A7285D2 p (constcw) Searching CW for CAID 0E00 PROVID 000000 SRVID 0007 ECMPID 1777 PMTPID 138F VPID 02C6

    13A29EE4 c (ecm) vuplus-team.com (0E00@000000/0000/0007/40:F5BBE27D960B99DB86DE70CB89B89B66): rejected reader sid (4 ms) by SoftCam.Key (F/2/2/2) - Guide

    42A321CC r (emu) Key not found: P 0007 00

    42A321CC r (emu) ECM failed: Key not found

    let me ask you how i read a log with terms that arent even found with google?
    cw. im smart enough to know it means control word (i hope).
    caid. no clue. google has no clue.
    provid. pro-video?...provider i.d.??
    srvid. standard rate video? server i.d?
    ecmpid. electronic counter measures program i.d ( a big one here on ku band. seeder gets an ecm and it's lights out for a day or so).
    pmtpid. payment program i.d? hell if i know!
    Jensen!!!! i know what that is and know where to find it!!!! elusive vpid...

    what is an ecm??? and why was my reader sid rejected?...it sure didn't take long! i dont want it rejected. how to fix that?
    guide???? it's on playboy tv dammit! and my setting is right. but it says 'guide'....so do many others even with key file at 0000 for vpid.

    so my demuxer 0 restarts decodingrequests after a blazing 1ms. 1 ok and one dead ecmpid. why??

    again... dvbapi demuxer 0 is busy trying to 'descramble PID 0 CAID 0E00 PROVID 000000 ECMPID 1777 ANY CHID PMTPID 138F VPID 02C6'
    pid 0...caid 0e00...provid 000000...ecmpid 1777....any chid pmtpid 138f vpid 02c6.

    you know what the log tells me? that Jensen told me to press the menu button on my remote.
    then to information. then to service...and the green button for pid's....and that's where i found my video pid....and i see a pmt pid there.

    so, i read my logs until i was blind. over and over. and i honestly have no idea if it's a setting. if my googled keys i got aren't any good.
    what (if there are any) applications i can get and how to use them to get keys from a video stream.
    i'm sorry. from reading i just thought i could google a key, edit it in. and if it was good. voila!
    a big rookie who only speaks english and knows hot to use google translate.

    enigma1969 pointed out what i missed, that your required video pid was right there in the log, so no need to use your remote either

    The main thing your log is telling me is

    Code
    42A321CC r (emu) Key not found: P 0007 00

    42A321CC r (emu) ECM failed: Key not found

    so either the key is invalid, or not in the right place, or in the wrong format

    as for all the jargon oscam has a wiki

    http://www.streamboard.tv/wiki/OSCam/en

    What has confused me further with your log is this:

    Code
    3A7285D2 p (constcw) Searching CW for CAID 0E00 PROVID 000000 SRVID 0007 ECMPID 1777 PMTPID 138F VPID 02C6

    constcw is a separate protocol to oscam emu

    This below is a log i get when using that format, it uses another format for keys

    Code
    2018/10/10 11:26:19 4F4C583D p  (constcw) Searching CW for CAID 2600 PROVID 000000 SRVID 0003 ECMPID 1FFF PMTPID 0102 VPID 1004
    2018/10/10 11:26:19 4F4C583D p  (constcw) Entry found: 2600@000000:0003:0102:1FFF:0000:15 9A CD 7C EB F6 14 F5 15 9A CD 7C EB F6 14 F5
    2018/10/10 11:26:19 3296F9A0 c   (dvbapi) Demuxer 0 found 1 ECMpids and 2 STREAMpids in PMT

    So best you turn off the constcw reader and reboot your box, you are not using that key format and it is not required

  • Nothing from my last post was meant at all to be sarcastic. Not one bit.
    Taking a few minutes from work to view this.
    Not sure if I've already peeked at the wiki. Will look again. Probably print it out for a hard copy ref.
    I'll post some screenshots of my settings, Serviceinfo screen..etc.
    Super eager to learn this. Picture me as a photo of Einstein pulling his hair out!! lol.
    ....ah'll be bock.

    Thanks for putting up with me.

  • well for now i'm really not sure what to do.
    until i can get a recent key for a channel from simon bolivar west to 127w to test and is known to work.
    i'm a bit dead in the water, so to speak.
    i see hints to programs to find keys from ts files.
    i have a few robust gpu pc's. just not sure if that method is valid and still works.

    of course i don't have a dvb card in the pc, just the zemma.
    i guess until i can get just one test key, au key, that really works. i'll never actually get my box to decode pv.

    not really ready to give up.

  • I'm back.
    Jensen, I've found a source for keys.
    Something keeps perplexing me. The proper format for the highlighted sections.

    P 0000 00 56DBB98DBA634D ; ECM Key0
    P 0000 01 2B3ECB0234CB71 ; ECM Key1.

    Not entirely a bad one since I'm seeing different ways and explanations of how it's supposed to be.

    I'm seeing the same VPID on different channels on different sats.
    I deleted every single satellite pv codes for ones I'm not able to aim at.

    So if I'm not using stream relay, I'm assuming if I find a correct key and paste it in the softcam.key file and go to that channel. It should come in.
    As you said Jensen, the P 0000 set should be formatted for the VPID in Menu>Information>Service>Green Button PID's.
    And I see Video PID: 0x02c6 (710d).
    I plugged in P 02c6. No decoding of that channel.

    Other examples are showing formatting for group and VPID.
    Makes sense because another channel on another sat could have the same 0x02c6 VPID.

    Right?

    Then after the key (; ECM Key0) I'm pretty sure that's wrong.
    Some reading says put the channel name. Other say put channel name, tp number, polarity, symbol rate, and fec.

    The big question. IF i'm lucky to find a working pv key...Just One!
    Disallowing the different ways everything around the key in:

    P 02C6 01 3530605CF4F44D ;Playboy TV, 127.1W, 3820H
    could be formatted....what is the absolute correct method a guy would set it up?
    Could I get an example please? Maybe a little clear step-by-step?

    P 0000 - as before if it is wrong oscam log will tell you what is correct

    here is part of my key file, a key for a channel added by oscam it self, done by autoroll as i have the emm keys

    Code

    Post your full log mate, that will help us to see what is happening.

  • P 02C6 00 56DBB98DBA634D

    P 02C6 01 2B3ECB0234CB71

    Which may be for 127w, tp 04050H, sr 30000, fec 5/6.
    And paste in another key right below it:

    P 02C6 00 4ADF36B787C882F

    P 02C6 01 731D83B91211BC

    Which may be for 105W tp 16432V, sr 11500, fec 2/3 and has the exact same VPID.

    Oscam will still do what it's designed to do?

    sorry......i think we have another issue going on here, it is just i am a little slow to proccess it.....Full backup your image then try this

    Your satellite.xml is probably out of date, i have attached a new one that i generated for you here: http://satellites-xml.org/

    overwrite your file at etc/tuxbox with the attached xml

    Then delete all of your channel data with this putty command

    Code
    init 4 && sleep 10 && rm -rf /etc/defaultsat.tar.gz && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/lamedb* && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.tv && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.radio && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.del && init 3

    your box will reboot when it is done deleting the files

    Then rescan your satellites and compare results, hopefully you now get diff vpids

    If not ?? - then you may have to edit them manually with dreambox edit or similar software.....

    If it was me i would concentrate on a single sat for now, whatever one you have the most keys for, i would scan just the one sat.

    Let us know how you get on

  • I will try that soon.
    Since I found that openpli had oscam already built in and openatv didn't (you helped with that).
    I didn't think of backing up openatv 6.1 that came installed on my receiver.
    Remote key mapping made no sense with pli. Very clunky to say the least.
    I couldn't find the factory image so installed openatv 6.2.
    That all happened in the first 2 days. And it seemed that afterwards my scans were filled with many, many channels that showed only channel numbers, tp and polarization,and SID.
    I'm not at all completely above reflashing the box and starting all over clean.

  • OK. Reflashed. All setup.
    Your version of oscam posted here installed and afn traces removed. Did that through package installer from the file stored on the internal hdd.
    I mentioned that I was initially getting errors.
    I haven't touched anything in oscam at all except for parsing the reader lines for afn.
    Getting this in my logs:

    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 68E99DD7 p (constcw) ERROR: Can't open /etc/tuxbox/config/SoftCam.Key (errno=2 No such file or directory)
    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 1ED92555 r (emu) Key not found: P 0015 01
    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 1ED92555 r (emu) ECM failed: Key not found
    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 6DF994FB p (cccam) cccam-4 configuration error!
    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 40AFA999 p (cccam) cccam-3 configuration error!
    • 2018/10/16 11:51:47 3CCFDC77 p (cccam) cccam-1 configuration error!

    FTP in to /etc/tuxbox and sure enough there is no /config sub directory.
    To avoid confusion I'll let you guide me through the fix. I think Enigma and you told me what you thought files were supposed to be.
    I believe on the previous flash I simply created it and dropped files in it.
    This is in the softcam.server file:

    [reader]

    label = SoftCam.Key

    protocol = constcw

    device = /etc/tuxbox/config/SoftCam.Key

    cacheex = 0

    cacheex_maxhop = 0

    cacheex_allow_request = 0

    group = 1

    dropbadcws = 0

    disablecrccws = 0

  • Of course after looking at the unzipped ipk I can see that the directory structure in them is different than the installed ipk.

  • I'm concerned of any errors that pop up. Certainly a smooth running, error free (except for invalid keys message) oscam is going to help me understand the running of the application. I don't understand all of the readers quite yet nor what module actually handles pv.
    Hopefully when you get free you could assist. I'd like to correct rather than ignore the errors.

  • A few thoughts. Is this version of oscam actually compatible with the zgemma h7.ac? Mention of "unstable" makes me wonder a few things.
    It's for an arm platform. Is it compatible with openatv 6.2?
    I see directory errors. In my log locations in the config files, looking in those locations I'm seeing many 0 byte files.
    In the oscam web interface files>oscam config it appears that there is supposed to be a dev/tty directory.
    I see none and cannot create one. just many empty 0 byte tty files that increment from tty...tty0...tty1...etc.
    To make it easier to locate I edited my oscam.config to place logs in the hdd. Those are empty.
    I see a pv key for the channel in my live log (which I cannot seem to save) which is recent.
    Different places I read on the net say to take the VPID and rearrange characters in a few different ways.
    What's correct?
    Also I've parsed my softcam.key file for every satellite which I will never get on this side of the pond.
    Found and inserted the most recent keys posted.
    Where to go from here? Need more info?

    send me all your keys as a pm in the format we have discussed at length already.

    I will make you a full oscam emu backup as an ipk file

    I will test it here if it works for me it will work for you.

    Did you try update your Sat xml as suggested a while back?

    The .ac bit of your box is not related to satellite as far as I am aware

    It certainly won't affect oscam

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATSC_standards

  • Nothing is really noted about the AC. I think it may be for american continent or something having to do with the ATSC tuner.
    Update: I installed your oscam ipk (read earlier in this post please). Since then I've found OscamPowervu11434.
    No details how to delete so I used your 7zip method to extract the original ipk and find the file structure and deleted them on the box with ftp.
    Placed the 11434 on my internal hdd and installed it. No immediate crash from having to delete the afn traces you indicated.
    It at first looked like it wasn't autostarting but looks like it just takes around 20-30 seconds before it does.

    Leaps? I don't know. Right now I see no file structure errors in the web interface. I haven't done anything at all to files.
    I'm setting on 88.2W right now and have afn sports up. The epg is populating.
    I have audio but no video. In softcam panel I'm seeing a lot of info (haven't had that until now at all). CW1 periodically changes.
    I have updated my sat xml. I actually added a few more to it. I think I ran across that before.
    It looks like this version may work a little better. At least my frustration level is lower. I have the day off.

    Another thing too. I notice the keys file is formatted a little different now in this version. You'll see it if I'm smart enough to get a pm to you.

    Thanks SO much!!bba32678321.png
