    No plugins call skin files directly in the python code. So its not that simple for plugins that have skins.

    in xstreamity you can copy an entire skin folder and make your edits in that.


    My plugin is just looking for folders in there. So you can call your new folder anything you want (dont use the word default in it though). That wont get overwritten as its not one of my files.

    KiddaC on GraphicalEPGPIG page noticed when moving up and down page it now does not stop at top and bottom of page this is annoying I take it this is another new openatv feature , because it does same on Metrix HD skin


    Ok I know you may not do any more work on epgselection mod but last version i was using is almost working just when using ch+ ch- to page up and down it now only pages down one page any ideas :)

    Our Master Kiddac mentioned in #1257 what to do and mine know works perfect just as it did before the updates from openatv. I deleted the py and pyc files in usr/lib/enigma2/python/ epglist in components folder and epgselection in screens folder. and replaced them with these .

    that version of epgselection.py does not work you may get epg and tabs working,


    try pressing menu when on GraphicalEPGPIG (epg) screen to edit GraphicalEPG Settings and it comes up empty that version was for openatv 6.5 and KiddaC did later edit for openatv7.0

    The poster mods are not something I have ever messed around with.

    I personally don't have time. But the posters can be put in any skin. You just got to put the right code in and move things around.


    I can't actually remember if someone has done this before with some of my skins.

    I was just intrigued by this plugin as someone had asked me to add it into my skins. Although my skins are not really designed to add in extra elements.
    My reply was to do it themselves. But as I have never tried it myself, thought I would have a play and see what it was doing.
    I just tweaked things as I was having a play around with it.
    As you know @biko I am a busy man, and I got my own plugins to tweak. Not enough minutes in the day for me to be spending much time on other projects.

    Reboot is not the issue. He is doing/not doing something but not saying what. Probably not selecting which plugins to install.


    I have just re-installed a 7.3 image and did the clean option to start from scratch and confirm no issue at all.


    Menu > Plugins > Green (download plugins)

    Select Skin packages

    Press OK to expand the list

    Scroll down to the Kidac skins

    Select the ones you want. Press OK on them so that the they have a download indicator next to the them

    Once you have selected the packages you want, press Green to install them.



    After installation,

    Menu > Setup > Usage & GUI > Skin Settings > A list of installed skins is shown

    Select/Highlight the one you want to activate > press OK

    Say yes to the restart option

    Onyx is just a logo graphic.

    Hi,


    I'm after setting up a new H7 with openatv 7.3 and slyk-1080-r19. Very nice work really cool.


    But I am a little confused what is the 'official' go-to place for the skins & related resources & infos.


    Being on openatv I installed the slykr19 skin itself from the plugins repos. As in plugins/skin packages. And I'm assuming this is the 'latest' release and the preferred install option.

    And I saw the nice setup guide for settings etc right here.


    But I dont see epg-tabs or 7 days epg in the plugins repos. Where would I get those? Or are they included already and simply need enabling via extras.xml?

    For that matter, I dont have an extras.xml. I have an s-extras.xml. I assume thats the one?


    What with such questions I'm wondering too where is the most up-to-date source for documentation/faq/wiki for all this stuff? Is in the different threads here? Initial posts dont seem up-to-date on everything. Do I have to read through the entire threads? Is it somewhere on your GitHub? I saw your google drive being mentioned once or twice... Somewhere else?


    This is no criticism by the way. I know how it is. Just wondering where should I start.

    Right.... All skins have their individual thread on here linuxsat. Each of those separate threads give instructions how to setup your settings and any extras etc.

    Most of my skins are in popular image feeds, feeds await me to push my changes to github. At the moment everything is up to date on github.
    There is no user guides if installing from feeds. You need to read the info on here.


    epg-tabs - is an old mod when all oe-alliance providers, openatv, openvix, pure2 etc. All had very similar code.
    Lots of code has changed in all the images now, so it is pretty much dead as a mod.


    Slyk 7 days epg. Is also a separate plugin which you can find in my section. I don't think that is in feeds.

    The 7 day epg mod, gets the data from sky direct so providers better and longer epg than the rytec feeds.
