For some reason channel list screen seems to be broken

The background in the bouquet list seems to have changed colour. This is on all of your skins for some reason on vix and I'm not sure what has changed

you got no active tv channel playing. Does that make a difference? Transparency is weird on enigma2.

    painter.clear();


Important change: the rectangle is drawn regardless of whether a background is present. That means it could be drawing over an otherwise transparent area.

The drawRectangle() call is decoupled from the presence of a background image.

The clear() fallback now only happens if no background and no radius — and in that case, it happens after the drawRectangle logic.

Conclusion:
Yes, this change could cause the rectangle to be drawn on top of a transparent area, thus introducing a visible background fill where previously it might have remained transparent due to painter.clear().

If transparency is desired when there's no background and a radius is set, you'd need to restore the conditional logic to avoid drawing the rectangle unless explicitly needed or handle transparency in the rectangle drawing.

Hi, Is there a way to switch off the 'buffering' word at the top of the screen. The stream doesn't buffer but that appears regularly on live. I assume it's something going on in the background. member is saying live streams , but by that does he mean satellite or iptv.

i'm certain I have seen buffering notice some times on zgemma h9combo when changing iptv channels I thought it was down to Hi3798MV200

I can only assume this is iptv. As live satellite doesn't really buffer. That will usually just pixelate.

2895rhodz I presume this is IPTV, I presume you have created bouquets for iptv.

You will have to give more details.

What plugins you using to create bouquets - or are you manually creating them
If iptv - is this a paid line, or a found line.
if iptv is it an xtream codes line - or a full m3u8 playlist.

What box are you using

What image are you using
What internet speed has your box got. There are speedtest plugins in feeds

I haven't seen a buffering appear on my box for years

KiddaC , just confirmed with my wife as I mentioned zgemmah9 combo as that is the stb she uses downstairs yes she did used to get buffering warning with iptv streams but that was a few years back no such problems now.

Now a busy pointer as I would say everyone will get if a channel is down :)

Yes, it's Iptv, I've been with them for many years. No issue if it's their side. Was just wondering if it was an easy fix (if it was the box or image etc) like I said the stream doesn't buffer when watching but the buffer and % come up on the top of the screen.

What box are you using Octagon sf8008

What image are you using Openvix

What internet speed has your box got. There are speedtest plugins in feeds I'm struggling to find one. The only 1 I can see in plugins extensions is 'netspeedtest' and keeps saying download failed.

I use internet speed test by madhouse - find it in extensions or system plugins

If using my bouquet maker xtream plugin - try different stream types, 1, 4097, 5001, 5002. If using .ts try using m3u8. then rebuild your bouquets and see if any of those options improve things.

Add dont build bouquets for every live, vod, series in the world. Use the plugin to select the ones you want. Will save memory and help things run smoother.

I only use bouquet Maker for live. I use xstremity for vod and series. Oh massive thanks for the new favorites button on series. Made my life much easier.

to try other sream types i,e, 5001, 5002 you may need to install serviceapp. Don't know if it is installed on vix by default.

I have just noticed the line " Enable Automatic collections" is missing on sky q skin. On vix 6.6.012. Its a nice to have feature but was it something I did?

EPG importer on current branches is using the changes by Lululla. Some of the widget positions need to be updated. It should be simplification/reduction of your skin code. I am away from home so can't post screenshots.

Perhaps urie can post succinct descriptions of changes with affected areas highlighted/marked. Some screenshots are here:
