How do i update Dreambox 800 se Clone with a new image

Well, a 'clone' could mean at least 4 variants -> Japhar, Ferrari, Estar, A8x. It would be nice for your time (to avoid low level reflashing of SSL, etc) to establish what 'brand'

of clone you do have.

My recommendation is OpenATV 6.3 or Openvision 7.0r3.

But first, be sure of the sim in your box ! As link above is ONLY for Sim2... and if your box is with A8P, Ferrari, EStar or Japhar Sim... it will FAIL.

Your receiver is for original image ( bootloader 84) as mine. At first, you find SSL 84 bootloader and install on your box,

and restart. When install bootloader, you can install an image for original DM800SE.

Ah well, 1st of all I'm not so certain (especially if meni is kinda sure that his box is a clone), that SSL 84 is a guarantee that his box is an original. Ok, now , it seems, it is time to use Japhar flasher or some other tool, that could recover the box. I'm not an expert in clones, but it would be prudent to **really** establish what 'brand' of clone you do really have, before any other actions are taken.

Yes, thats why I wrote it to open the receiver and see which card is in the receiver.

Bootloader SSL 84 is not guarantee that is receiver for original images.

Exist SSL 84 for SIM2 or Ferrari DM800SE clone.
