I have installed VPN Manager on my Zgemma H9S with the help of the information in this thread and all appears to be working correctly. When I run IP Checker plugin, it shows a local IP address beginning with 10 and an external IP address which is the same as that shown in VPN Manager. However, when I go into Information, Network in the openvix menu. the IP address shown is still the one assigned by the router. Is that normal? Thanks.

Network in Openvix is your box IP address not the external address

For NordVPN there is another option: nordvpnmanager - see in Plugins > Extensions....
But you need to deal with all the files properly - auth, cert...
-
Here, just in case you missed it....

Thanks for the replies. Just wanted to be sure that everything was working as it should. gorski, it was your guide which I used to set it up. Thanks. The only problem I encountered was that I couldn't get v 1.1.14 to work. I randomly tried v 1.0.8 instead, and it worked. No idea why.

You probably missed something in settings.... try again but carefully... ;)

Hi All,
Bit lost on this one
Let me explain.
I have Nord VPN, and i have installed VPN manager on OpenATV. I have created a directory called /media/hdd/OpenVPN/London and inside i have placed 2 files
1. The conf file that i downloaded from Nord VPN, renamed it client.conf and added the line "auth-user-pass password.conf" to it.
2. Created a password.conf in which i have included, seperated by another line my email address and password i use to login to NordVPN
Still cant seem to connect to the VPN
Any feedback most welcome - thanks !

You can put the login details in the VPN Manager itself, as I explained...
You need the other 2 files, I presume (I do not have Nord)...
-
sorry i dont need the other 2 files?you mean?
Tried that also -still nothing

you could also use dsayers OpenVPN_Generator and paste results into putty it will give you option to install nordvpn I like gorski have not used nord so cannot advise how to manually install it.

It's not difficult in principle: one needs two files which contain the keys.
That's what he hasn't done, I presume...

-
I find PUREVPN works steady for me
-
Read, I wrote it all in detail: Surfshark has both keys in ovpn file, unlike other VPN providers I tested a while back....
But OK....

Heres what im seeing
Berlin and London2 are Surfshark Connections
also Openvpn doesnt seem to want to start but i hit the green button
Not sure where to go with this -- desperate at this stage

With vpn manager you don't need to edit files or create password.conf. So download Nord configs from here
Transfer all or select few files to HDD/OpenVPN folder no need for a sub directory.
In VPN manager press menu and make sure you set all configs in one location yes then add username and password via gui or editing plugin.py
You should then be able to choose a country.
Same method applies for surfsharkvpn

at this stage i am not sure is it the ISP router.
What should the Default DNS be?

Also looking at the logs for OpenVPN
RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address xx-xxx.prod.surfshark.com:1443 (name or service not known)
could not determine ipv4/ipv6 protocol
if that means something to someone?
