    I have internet access on my pc, also when the vpm is switched off on my receiver too . I take it I am connected to the internet when the vpn is on as I am showing the

    servers which light up green... I am not sure if it is something to so with dns access the network settings shows a different gateway address to the gateway settings in openvpn Thanks

    Do not use automatic DHCP but manually set preferred servers in:


    Network > Device Setup > choose your interface (LAN= eth0 or WLAN = wlan0) > Nameserver settings > add the following:

    1.1.1.1

    1.0.0.1 > Save and go back to it and yellow button to add another

    8.8.8.8 > Save and as above...

    8.8.4.4 > Save

    Hi. I have followed the pdf and saved the 4 nameservers above

    when I save it the addresses change to


    Nameserver1 194.168.4.100

    Nameserver2 194.168.8.100

    Nameserver3 8.8.8.8
    Nameserver4 8.8.4.4



    When I openvpn on the first start and it shows

    ping 48.327ms

    green light with Berlin server

    resolv conf green tick

    tun/tap 837.00b

    tun/tap write 1.18kb

    tcp/usp read 7.61kb

    tcp/udp write 3.37kb

    auto read 1.29


    I have mutlible servers folders Berlin London etc


    I go into mediaportal and It fails to load

    when I go back to network settings I have no primary dns or secondary dns listed not like before

    I am using openpli 7 latest with vuduo2 box...

    It is better to avoid your provider's servers...


    Hence 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

    Whoops, I did have nameserver 4 inputed wrong. instead of 8.8.4.4 I put 8.8.8.4 So now I have corrected it to 8.8.4.4...


    Now I can get into Mediaportal but no videos will play..

    When I going back into Vpnmanager none of the server folders light up green any longer


    Also in system network, Nameserver has changed to

    Namerserver 1 0.0.0.0

    Nameserver 2 0.0.0.0

    Ok, I have it working on Pure2... After reading these latest posts, I will know go back to Openpli and try to work out how to keep the nameservers there and not resetting ... and report back. Thanks gorski:thumbup::thumbup:
