Er... how does jedi epg xtream work.
Well basically any iptv bouquets that have been created with a bouquet maker plugin appear in the left column. Except ABM, favourites, last scanned.
You select a bouquet, then a channel, then find a relevant source, then use the auto selection, or manually select one. Then assign epg.

This then creates the epg importer files.

So in this example. Its used the sref from my 4seven SD and paired it to 4seven.uk as used by rytec uk

So to answer the question does the name or does the epg-id matter in the original bouquet file, whether characters or numbers, the answer is NO.
The only thing that is required is a unique service ref. In my plugins I create a complete unique sref for each entry. Other bouquet makers should to.
You can match ab12345 to Sky sports if you want.
