I'm now having a problem with picons. Any help would be appreciated. I successfully downloaded picons via BMX. For some unknown reason, this was downloaded to /picons/ , /piconLCD/ and not to /media/hdd/picon/ as selected. Since picons weren't appearing for IPTV channels, I manually deleted the folders. After trying to download to /media/hdd/picon/ the second time, unfortunately, nothing was downloaded. The third time, I selected /picons/piconHD/ in BMX. This succeeded in downloading there, but unfortunately, no picons are visible under IPTV channels. Is this a bug? What could be the reason why downloading to /media/hdd/picon/ isn't possible? What can I do in this case?

No bug you can only have one picon folder , you have not downloaded picon packs from example openatv plugins extension picon packages or set path in plugin menu picon install location mines is still set to internal but that is default and I have never saved the setting because when you install from there then you will have example /piconLCD/ folder I would check you settings file in /etc/enigma2/ folder and see if any other entries in there .

for me i have mines set as config.plugins.BouquetMakerXtream.picon_location=/media/usb/picon/

If you need to edit setting file you need to go via terminal and do init 4 to stop enigma2 then edit file then do init 3 once you have edited file.

I also have two things that could perhaps be fixed?

1. Parental controls work if you want to open the bouquet directly. However, if you're in another bouquet, for example, and then use the CH keys to jump from bouquet to bouquet, you can access the protected bouquet without a password.

2. Picture-in-picture doesn't work with channels created with Bouquet Maker Xtream. In a pinch, you can have the stream in the main screen and then load another satellite channel into the picture-in-picture. But you can't get a stream into the small picture-in-picture.

Is something like this feasible?

I have installed Bouquet Maker Xtream and XKlass - Xtream Codes. Both plugins obtain EPG data from the same source via the EPG importer.

Can I disable the EPG function for one plugin?

I only want to obtain EPG data from the Bouquet Maker Xtream plugin

I probably need to delete the XKlass - Xtream Codes EPG data from the EPG importer

Are you saying when you select Service Name Picon (SNP) it is making Service reverence Picons (SRP) ?

I have not noticed that I always select snp.

Are you also downloading picons from example plugins picons.

No, I'm saying that if I select "Service Name Picon" in BMX, then "Channel Name Picon" will be created. I'm not sure if I select "Service Reference Picon" if they would be created that way.

The plugin is only for satellite channels and for selecting directions for Picons.

if you select Service Reference Picon then that is the ones that will be created why don't you just not try and see even for test rename picon folder to picon.bak and make new picon folder and select Service Reference Picon and picons will be downloaded but named as SRP.

When i add an external #EXTM3U Playlist, why isn't there an option for an alternative epg url like for xtream code Playlists?

How can i add an epg url for an external m3u playlist, maybe in the bmx_playlists.json so BMX creates a bouquetmakerxtream.NAME.channels.xml in /etc/epgimport? Or how can i trigger BMX to create a bouquetmakerxtream.NAME.channels.xml for an external m3u list + alternative epg url?

My root cause is, that i cannot import epgdata via epgimport plugin for a m3u playlist, because BMX does not creates the ...channels.xml in /etc/epgimport directory.

after many problems (my new dreambox 900 uhd keep rebooting same image openhdf even when i deleted this image) i manged to install(old,2024) newenigma2,now i have no idea how to install BMX,the plugin section doesnt give much,i tried with ipk but telnet says tmp/volnite doesnt exist,i can test software update but i'm afraid the box will reboot openhdf again,any help?thanks.cheers

First problem is get box sorted ,why not install openatv at least that will be current image and bmx will be in feed.
