the above firmware has been around the net for months and does not help anyone on a s16,
i brought one, used the above firmware, load cccam, but it disconnects and reconnected every 15 secs
Why don't you try the Mg Cam option and yes I know its been around for months but to be able to point people in right direction its logical to start at the beginning.

I think that today, in FW 1020 best of all published
I tested two weeks 2 possible for the FW configurations:
1. CCcam - server, newcamd - client.
2. Newcamd - server, newcamd - client.
Faster and more stable than the first configuration works.
Files cfg. standard for CCcam and for Newcamd.
Ccam client no, there is CCcam server, there must write settings with your remote and after press the blue button to enter USB cccam.cfg . Then get out of the settings by pressing the exit , go to Newcamd setup setting , and enter with your remote settings Newcamd. After write settings by pressing the exit , to get out of the menu system, reboot and wait when be a picture on the TV.
Display MoreNo mate.....you cant install anything on these boxes as its closed linux!
You wouldn't need to anyway as i doubt that would be the issue!
It will be in the Network settings bit on the Menu you will see a reference to Cccam setup and Mgcamd setup! Choose Cccam !
Then update via Usb or Manually!
Make sure the line is active/online when finished....if you do it manually think Yellow button is to save!
You will then see it Active/Online!
Restart box and you should be sorted....pretty simple these boxes! lol!
It is connected, but it could not able to open any channel. I tried too many times but no success. cccam server shows it is connected.
any one can help me....
thanks
Hi, rafe78.
Have you solved this issue? I have bought one openbox s16 hd. But I have had the same problems. With some firmwares it let me see some channels, and other not. And with one firmware (openbox-s16_eu1129) all channels show "Scrumbled" message.
I tried newcamd and cccam configurations.
I have tested several firmwares trying to solve this through several hours but I even have no results.
I am connecting to satellite 58.0W and I am tried with two IKS distinct accounts with the same results.
I'm starting to worry. Thanks for any help.
