Did you FTP it from WinSCP logged in as root user? If so, Id be thinking strongly about a fresh install at this stage, Fresh install takes no more than an hour and you will learn a bit more each time, You have been on this problem for the guts of 10 hours now and it looks like were all getting more confused as it goes on... Just backup all your oscam/cccam configs, reinstall and do the smargo tut from the start again.
-
ok reinstalled everything again, hub now in with card, just got to set up server and config files again
-
-
well if we dont get anywhere this time i got a Omnikey you can have lol!
Nightmare!
-
m8, I ditched my smargo, got 2x Omnikey's for €20 and have never looked back..
-

We`ve seen the " smargo [smartreader] usb bulk write failed " error alot here, most of the time it can be resolved by changing the firmware on the smargo.
Which firmware were you using ?

Which firmware were you using ?
was on 1.3 used 1.4 no luck a few sites said 1.4 dodgy, so moved to 1.5 and got the above
-
So i presume you are all sorted with this issue and the Card is being Read now?

ie bringing ecm times down etc.... -
ok something werid, just put on the pc and web if was working, and card was ok, i click restart in the web if, and no nothing, no web if, rebooted 3 times, nothing , no images
-
Use WinSCP to connect to your server and confirm that your port numbers are all matching up with the port number your typing into browser!
Quote
To check or change your oscam webif password & port number, open up WinSCP & log into server as root & look in
usr/local/etc/oscam.confCode[webif] httpport = 8888 httpuser = admin httppwd = admin
To check or change your cccam webif password & port number, open up WinSCP & log into server as root & look in
var/etc/cccam.cfgCodeWEBINFO USERNAME :admin WEBINFO PASSWORD :admin WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16001
What ever you use, remember it & when you log into the oscam/cccam webif's, BOOKMARK them so they are there for good!
If they are stop & restart oscam with folowing command:
Stop Oscam:If you get No Process Found, that is your problem..
Start oscam with this command:
If you get an error about a lib file missing it is most likely because The older stable version is it is referencing libssl0.9.8. which is not in Ubuntu 12.04.Add it with this command!
If you get no error and oscam starts up, then you have to check your rc.local file at /etc/rc.local to make sure oscam is in it. If not add this line
(This makes oscam starts up at boot)Good luck

hi mate,
im not that silly :)
http://192.168.0.106:16001 comes up but nothing listed in anything about from servers
http://192.168.0.106:8888/ just says cant make a connection
i posted this before that i had to reboot to get it back
[webif]
httpport = 8888
httpuser = root
httppwd = password
httprefresh = 10
httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255i did install a script to check update, just gone all through that and nothing
-
Just had to check that nothing changed there first m8, Did you try the rest of what I suggested above?
-
na restalling oscam, and saved the files
its best to learn the hard way
as wanna make sure learn right and if goes wrong know the worse way to repair
-
ok rebooted after install and still not there
what the hell happened from the webif to make it go?
tried the code and now says oscam not found?
