This may be a long shot, but is it possible to stream my dbox to a pc over the Internet?
Or even better, to an iPhone?

I can do it from Media portal to an iPad so it should be possible in theory, I don't know much about dreams though.

If memory serves me correct you can do this via VLC

Go into enigma web interface and click on web x-tv, or if you have vlc player click on vlc in enigma web interface, hope that works m8

Ok, you can do it on the same network to a pc easily using vlc as above, but to do it over the net I use Orb (there's an app for the iphone) & a capture card.
You only need orb live free cos it randomly picks channels, but as your dreambox only sends one channel (the one your dreambox is watching) & you can change it remotely over the net (I use dreamote app for the iphone) that isnt a problem.

Unless you have a good upload speed from where the box is...you may be dissapointed with the results ;)

careful which port you leave open for streaming through the net,,,,,,,,,it means its open for one + all,,,so protect it well with pass....

IN pli web interface, click web-x , you will be prompted your browser wants to install a vlc plugin, allow this and a new window will open. The streaming is perfect.

try reducing the stream quality, sounds like your upload is a little slow to handle the stream.
