updating entitlements

    my entitlements are expiring on 13/01/2013 but im not sure if they should update now or later. below is my oscam.server can someone please tell me if this looks right and what should i do to update or is it too early?

    You are blocking the wrong emms, the settings should be like this :


    blockemm-u = 0
    blockemm-s = 0
    blockemm-g = 1
    blockemm-unknown = 1


    Also if you are using oscam with dvb-api, make shure the user has AU on.

    you don't need to worry about dvbapi if you are using a separate server - dvbapi is only useful really if your server is also your receiver. I am assuming considering you are using a smartreader that you have a linux server? - au does need to be on for cards to be updated in the oscam.user account you have got for your self - either au = 1 (which will send all updates to all cards) or au = ***uk which will send them to the card with that label.

    if i understand you have pc oscam server and box for yourself (client), then in oscam user (pc) put just au = 1 for card which one need to be updated,but i thing ,you must have also oscam in your box, switch one channel from ***uk and you will see in web browser in readers section how are your card is up dated.

    i never changed the au = ***uk to 1. i will do this when its time to update but tell me why do users not just leave the readers constantly able to update, why do users disable this feature, what are the benefits?

    i don`t know some user just keep clear au - missed. my suggestion is to put au for ***uk on, then you haven`t worry for update.i have i***** card and similar situation like you (pc-box)and i have au on always, but this is no nds card, so i don`t know exactly

    hi m8s,
    i have ubuntu server which was working fine until yesterday evening when the server went off
    when i go to oscam webif status it says error(no entitlements),also when i go to readers and select show entitlement,it does not give me entitlement
    i have the following in readers, blockemm unknown and global
    this is my first time experiencing this,and i think the subscription ends/the card expires 3rd january 2013
    pls whats the way out
