Yes mate it Can be set to Work Glitch Free really Just depends on how many you share with and there Connection Etc etc
Do not overspend now on S*Y Uk as its looking like it will end soon enough in Current forms

Yes Its very possible, I and most members on this site have one. As andy-ray says above, get yourself a sub that you think will warrant you a few good shares. If all you have used so far are payservers, you have no chance. These vermin overcrowd and cram as much as possible onto each reader, they have very little interest in quality, its all about the cash.. With some time and input on this site you will build up a few peers with very low usage that could provide you with glitch free shares as you would provide to them.. I Never used the openbox as a server but I use one at the moment as a client with a cline to my server and it never glitches. I used a DM500s as a server glitch free after a lot of tweaking and help on this site so I presume the Openbox's would also be capable of it.

Its funny to hear that cccam is getting blame , its not the boxes i have family with them and no issues at all , on occasions the whole box may lock up thats all but no freezing issues payservers are the only servers that freeze due to capacity , you can cardshare off an f5 but would not be recommended ive not done that for extended periods

Just due to *** Pairing there Cards to the Hd Boxes now it would seem a new way to get the needed Data to be able to share is needed for Oscam.
Maybe something easy But the more I read the more it looks like *** may of closed the door which was being used

thanks theram310, hmm that could be a bummer. guess nothing lasts forever eh. i have read that the amiko alien boxes you dont need any special configs e.g. boxk*y etc to use a s*y card, just put in slot and away you go. maybe this has added to the cause... i am sure somebody will be able to get around it, just takes time & knowledge.

If you want to start then you need a card first if you dont have one now chances are you will never get one that will work now as a new customer . thats your first hurdle , then you need to setup dns free some places only if you dont have a static ip address , then you need a box or pc that you can set a server up on ,at this stage you would be better having a motorised dish and getting a card like upc or sat bg or jsc and share that to get sly if thats what you are after as opposed to sly for sly as its near to an end unless you get sly and put uk racing box nation or premier sports almost everyone has sly world package better still an irish card if your interest lies with sly uk but no knowing how long it will last you have caught the bus late for this package

Ah right ok, so it's for new customers only, us old skool peeps with old card etc should be ok.

It sounds same thing that has happened to Spain canal+ - as I got an official receiver 6months ago and i can only use it in the official box, whilst I know people with older cards don't have to use it in official receivers

i can honestly say mine has never glitched. but thats cuz i only have a few ppl on it :)

The problem I have with sharing a genuine card, is that the whole purpose I got into satellite in the first place was to lower the utility bills LOL.
If I pay for a normal tv subscription, I would already have more tv then I truly need TBH.

Why do I get the feeling like you guys got something personal against payed servers? They serve there purpose and are practical...
Some people also don't like the obligation to be connected all the time, and just love to watch plain good old tv without strings attached.

So what do you say to a guy like me, who primary wants a cost effective solution, to convince him?
Also, would I be able to use my card while I share it? How does that work?

I'm currently paying for a server with not too bad results... Not PERFECT, but not too bad either...
