I created and activated a swap file but the CrossEPG didn't work last night. The epg's were completely empty, even though I had run it manually during the day. Does the swap file need to be a particular size?

Thanks for your reply. No, the ABM runs a full hour before the EPG. Will change the ABM times to see if it helps.

I bet it's the RAM issue. I've just set up a new Vu+Solo box for a friend and it works perfectly. could you point me to a tutorial for the swap file please? Thanks.

Just found the tutorial on creating a swap file. It was on another CrossEPG problem thread. Think it may be beyond my capabilities!

I have updated to the latest OpenVix image on my Vu+Duo and am experiencing problems with CrossEPG. I am doing an ABM update each night, followed by a CrossEPG download. The files are being written to my HDD (I did try a SanDisk Cruiser Blade USB but the same result). It seems to work ok for a while, then I check the EPG to find I only have a couple of days. Sometimes on a morning, when I switch on the CrossEPG downloader is frozen on the screen and I have to reboot the box.

I am in Greece and want to watch the UK channels. I use a Mag250 at the moment but understand I can do this on my Vu+ Duo. I have had messages saying something is deprecated. The IPTV player works but I can't find anything with the UK channels. Thanks.

Is there a tutorial on how to get IPTV working on the Vu+Duo? I have downloaded 2 plugins. IPTVlistupdater and IPTVplayer. I am using Vix Hades. The list updater put a new section on my bouquets but nothing happens when you select the channels.

I am trying to help a friend who has a new Vu+Solo box. He has been using a CCcam share on a dream box. Could anybody point me to the tutorial to explain how to get this onto the new Vu+? Thanks, Kev.

Ah! Before doing this, will the reset wipe the image? It came pre loaded with OpenVix and I don't want to have to flash an image.

Thank you! I cocked up the screen sizing on the first run so the menus are hanging off the edge. Is there any way to go back and resize?

I have just bought the Solo2 for a friend with OpenVix. I have a Vu+Duo which I set up a couple of years ago. Members kindly pointed me in the right direction for set up instructions but I can't find my old messages with the links. I am looking for a satellite receiver for a friend. I have a Vu+Duo with OpenVix and was looking for something similar. I checked WorldOfSatellite and they are out of stock. Ebay prices are crazy. If he got the Vu+Duo I could give him a little help getting it up and running. Thanks.

Yes, tried several lots of new batteries. As far as the CrossEPG info - it was on the release notes on the download page. It said not to back up settings as there was an issue with CrossEPG or something to that effect. I'm a novice at this stuff so may have read it wrong!

Hi again. Well, I put a new image on (the last Hades - didn't go for the 3.2 because I read the CrossEPG didn't work with it) and the remote is just the same. It's very frustrating. It's like, if I press a key, I can't use that key again until I've pressed one of the others. It just happened on the volume up/down keys.

Thank you for your help! When I go to the back up menu, it backs up to the Hdd - is there a way to back up to USB? I have one permanently in the back for EPG etc., but I would like to use a new one in the front.

I am experiencing problems and have been told I need to back up my system and install a new image. I am a novice in these things and it took me a while to get everything going when I got my box a couple of years ago. I am really worried about losing all my settings. Could someone please point me to any tutorials that will allow me to back up my whole system, then where to get a new image and install it. My current settings are:-

My Vu+ Duo's remote has started behaving in a peculiar manner. The FF and FR don't work properly. If I press the FF button it does 2x but no more. I found if I pressed the right arrow key it did 4x then FF key 8x etc. Also when I navigate the highlight gets stuck and only moves if I press a right/left arrow. When stuck the exit button doesn't work. I did find a thread but the guy ended up wiping his system trying to remedy it. My Info says:-

I have a Mag 250 which was supplied with a subscription, subsequently blocked. I have reset to factory defaults and want to know how to install Android onto it so I can use Kodi. Any help would be appreciated.

I have sent my Vu+ Duo back for repair today, so am back using my F3. I use AJ's List for my channels but the latest list has some channels I can't receive now here in Corfu. Can anyone tell me how I can change the frequency of a channel that is in the list? I have spent ages trawling through the menu and the web, without success. Thanks.
