Also a good idea to get a 5400 rather than 7200 rpm hdd as this produces less heat.

I used blackhole 2.0.3 using ten belows backup as a start as well with no such issues.
I installed all 3 of my cams from the linuxsat-support panel and ran it for about a week with no problems at all. -
In audio settings prefer ac3, and also press audio button on the channel and choose English.
-
Good thing we're talking about Ten Barlow and not Ten Below:snicker:
-
Ultimo2, is there any more info on that? I didn't know they had announced anything about an Ultimo2.
One things for sure, it'll be a beast.
Oh, and is ten Barlow Gary Barlows brother? -
It all depends on your needs. I don't see prices for the solo2 falling that much as the Duo2 will likely be quite a bit more expensive than the solo2.
-
I guess you could move it In satfinder?
But as already stated, one should be the master box. -
One question. Is it a clone or an original solo?
-
Or use dreambox edit and download the channel list, edit it and load onto your ultimo.
Can also use auto bouquets. -
Also consider homeplugs, they are really simple to set up and in my opinion more reliable than wifi.
stevejo. Good to see a fellow sharks supporter on here. Pity their season has gone pear shaped.
Black and White.Nothing else matters. -
What bouquet have you used? Did you use a pre made one or scan your own? Also what image are you using?
-
Yes you need to be connected to the router. You can do this with ethernet cable, home plugs or you can buy a compatible wifi dongle.
Wifi isn't built in to the solo2.
The method you use to open channels is up to you whether it be with an official card, share, etc.
But a word of warning, this forum doesn't support pay servers or people that use them.
Not trying to be nasty, it's just the forum rules. -
I had this problem on an older build, and if the above doesn't work then try this.
. Way to get around it is do a settings backup. Make sure it is settings backup not full image backup.
stick the latest vix on usb stick and flash the box, restore settings and plugins and that should sort it.
I had the same problem and andy blac told me it was a bug in an older build. -
Also make sure to also select "Prefer AC3" in the Audio Selection menu.
-
If you upload the latest catseye bouquet it'll have an up to date satellites.xml already. Don't need to upload the xml as well.
What image are you using? -
Will what work better on an android tablet? A slingbox or vu+ app?
if you have a decent upload speed, say 5 meg or more you should be able to stream direct.
If your upload speed is slower than that some people have used vlc player on their pc to transcode the stream. -
If you've got a vu+ duo, you'll need a pretty fast upload speed to stream outside of your lan.
Only the solo2 currently supports transcoding. -
Are you running vix? If so, is it the latest build?
I have about a dozen providers in the auto bouquets config. -
Also need a decent upload speed if you're using a duo.
The new solo2 has transcoding which is a much better option for streaming outside your lan. -
What image are you using? Most images have it pre installed, just connect your hdd or usb stick setup in menu and off you go.
