    Worth bearing in mind that channel details are kept in memory so mereley deleting may not be effective as they may be written back on restart. Some bouquets (owing to names) are not recognised/replaced by programs such as Dreamset.

    Try following telnet commands one by one.

    Code
    init 4
    rm -rf /etc/enigma2/lamedb
    rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.tv
    rm -rf /etc/enigma2/*.radio
    init 3

    Thankyou, I will try that

    Just use the "clear before scan" option in the blindscan plugin, thats what it's there for.

    I did that the very first time I attempted this, that only cleared the "Last Scan" folder. Al bouquets and entries in lamedb remained..

    I attempted to delete the full contents of the enigma2 folder & do a blind scan but on completion & restart, the new lamedb file still contained entries for 28.2 & slyuk after a blind scan for 16.0E for example.

    I also un-installed catseye settings, cleared the enigma2 folder & restarted & did a blind scan of 16.0E but I still did not get a 16.0E only lamedb file..

    Is there some kind of backup built into ViX to prevent the lamedb file from being cleared & repopulated with scan results?

    No steve, cos its the main box for the kids n missus.. Ill try tonight when the coast is clear...
    Not sure if I should clear the lamedb file or delete it but Ill do an image backup & have a play tonight..
    I was hoping there was an option in ViX to wipe all channels & clear lamedb...

    Is there an easy way to clear all channel lists & lamedb file on VU+ solo2 running ViX?
    I want to do blind scans on a few sats and have a clean lamedb file for each scan..

    Im not sure if its as simple as deleting the lamedb file & all bouquets from /etc/enigma2

    So here is the growing list as of today..

    Yes post your cccam.cfg, also post your rc.local & crntab files located @ /etc/
    I think cccam is taking over your omnikey..

    Back to point 2) did pcsc_scan show the reader as recognised by the system and numbered as "0"

    here is the start of the output from pcsc_scan on my system:

    add this to your [global] settings in oscam.conf

    Code
    logfile = /var/log/oscam.log

    also change

    Code
    maxlogsize = 1000

    also change or remove

    Code
    clienttimeout = 5000

    (previously set to 5ms = instant timeout, lol)

    & remove

    Code
    cachedelay = 120

    and restart oscam or server

    Actually, just try Dump in these settings & restart

    Code
    [global]
    logfile                       = /var/log/oscam.log
    nice                          = -1
    maxlogsize                    = 1000
    clienttimeout                 = 5000
    emmlogdir                     = /var/log/
    ecmfmt                        = |c:p:s:l|e|w|

    Also m8, If you are using 2 or more [readers]
    add this to oscam.conf [global] settings to prevent request being sent to all readers

    Code
    lb_mode                       = 1

    & post startup & zapping logs

    All these firmwares were posted a long time back, even if they were completely reversed they would not unlock the HDVide0Guard, they might shed some light on how the receiver ID is generated and how the CW is handled.
    But that would only be a fraction of the problem, then there would need to be unique dump of each paired receiver..

    Just noticed this in your log..

    mypcscreader [pcsc] Error getting card status.

    1... Have you got cccam running on this pc also? I have seen issues where cccam starts before oscam and locks the reader from oscam..
    2... Did you install pcscd and pcsc-tools? if not install those and then run pcsc_scan to confirm device is recognised by the system and the device is Reader 0:
    3... Try these basic pcsc reader settings (Note1, there is no need for mhz = 500 with omnikeys, Note2 you were blocking unique EMMs with this line blockemm-u = 1, that will stop your card receiving updates and eventually the card will go off)

    Lastly, you have no [cccam] entry in oscam.conf so you will not be able to use clines in your client boxs, only nlines..

    Thank you Thatfellow

    I am after trying as you stated and still That does not work. I have only Amiko Alien 2 (triple tuner) and an old DM 500s. I know you have one of your image set up to go (Commando+ oscam+cccam 2.1.3). I am too familiar setting up Amiko as server, however I have that that mini plugin with all settings in it. Which one is recommended to use for the update?

    Thank you

    Im sorry m8, but I would not trust an Amiko Alien as a door stop never mind set it up for this...
    That is probably not fair as I have never owned one, I've just read the horror stories :laugh:

    You could use the DM500s, great little box, that image backup of mine is a bit old, look for a newer backup with oscam then get the dvbapi configs for your card (They might already be loaded on the backup)

    Before you do any of that, post your current configs..

    That Thomson box should not have Paired ur card up because (as far as I am aware) it can't take the new firmware & Receiver ID
    Go to Oscam Webif / Config / Loadbalancer
    At the bottom of the page click: Clear Stats, Clear Timeouts & Clear Not Founds

    Go and test the Channels again..

    If that does not work..

    Setup your card in a STB with dvbapa & run for a few days, that worked for me when I had a similar issue..

    I too have noticed this recently - have gone back to oscam 9691 - now seems OK again

    Fingers crossed

    By this do you mean the once an hour freeze in original post or the regular freeze on Eden +1

    If you mean the latter, I'm pretty sure its not an oscam version issue, I tested a huge range of oscam's last night and they all behaved pretty much the same.
    It has stopped now because they have more than likely finished their tests..

    My anger is. have a vu + SOLO2 and not to use it in hd.
    I use to force the decoder ***.
    if not, I burn the card.
    but not for long because I expires in two months.
    and do not pay a penny more

    VU+ Solo2 is one hell of a piece of kit m8, it most certainly does not need to be connected to Sly to earn its keep..
    Get yourself a motor or multi LNB setup and you will get pretty much everything your missing on Sly..
