    So let me get this straight your defrauding 5ky using their own broadband

    Agree 100% with nano..

    All E1,E2 and other STBs have a well known range of MAC address's assigned to them.
    All provider can easily see the MAC address's of all devices connected directly to their router so I am not so sure about the "good deal on price" when you switched to Sly BB to CS..
    I know I would not share Slys card on their network, especially knowing that they have no problem crossing the line when it comes to snooping/hacking..
    That being said, a lot of people seem to be doing it and I have not heard of anybody being challenged about it.
    That does not mean they are clueless, for all we know they are gathering information of all other connected servers / clients.
    I think for security & fairness that all members looking for shares on linuxsat state clearly if they are with sly Broadband or not so as to give their peers the option to choose..

    I just put it on a stick and reflashed, handy.

    i had that and it wouldnt turn back on just a green light (solo), had to reflash the box again

    Yep, I also reflashed & got it sorted pretty quickly but I think the Telnet update method should be removed from OpenViX-Apollo 012 post..

    Upgrading from Apollo 008 on Solo2...

    after running

    Code
    init 4 && opkg update && opkg upgrade && init 6

    from telnet, box is jusd hanging on:

    i could go as big as a 90cm but would only be able to have one dish on the gaf unfortunately

    If you will get away with any 90cm dish, Get a WaveFrontier T90..
    I have 39°E, 28.2°E, 23.5°E, 19.2°E, 16°E, 13°E, 9°E, 7°E, 0.8°W, 5°W..
    It takes a bit of setting up but its the best solution you will get with static 90cm dish..

    I have a SD box with SD card which my brother was using. He closed his sub for 2 months ago. Will i get *** Sports SD on that card ? He is using his card in OScam.

    No, the only encrypted channels you will clear from a card with no sub are the free to view channels..

    I had issues updating my card, so master g helped by adding the dvbapi and the cccam, maybe he didn't realise it was running on the pi. Shall I post my original configs? They worked fine but the card never updated. Which looks like it was because the version of oscam I was running.

    Thanks for the help, do appreciate it.

    If Master G suggested this setup, then there must have been good reasons for using it.

    Is the card updating now?

    What are the client box's you & your neighbour are using?
    & what cam's are loaded on them? Have you any client box's running pure CCcam?

    Quote

    So up reflashed the box with the lastest firmware

    This will always result in the fav names being reset back to fav1 fav2 fav3 unless its your own backup image..
    Once you rename all the favs, make an image dump so you will always be able to return to that point.

    In the future when updating channels:
    1.. delete all channels through the openbox menu & restart
    2.. upgrade by usb using the Misc File option and only select TP_PROG.dbs
    3.. restart box

    The new channel list will be loaded & your Fav names will be preserved..

    I have renamed the thread because AJ's list had nothing to do with this issue

    He he, wouldn't that solve a lot of problems :laugh:
    No, it is not possible..

    EDIT Well Technically, It would be possible.
    The hardware could most certainly handle CCcam.
    But Sly have made it next to impossible for us mere mortals..

    And what is your issue m8?

    Can you please tell me the purpose of dvbapi in this setup?
    Also, Is CCcam running on the pi or is that CCcam.cfg off a client box?

    It looks from local host in N:line (127.0.0.1) that it is on the pi also.. What are you using cccam for because all your users are in oscam so CCcam looks to be doing Zero? & you have port 12000 opened in oscam & cccam, this will cause issues...

    So many problems with this setup I dont know where to start :laugh:

    Basically,

    1.. You need something to read your card, you are using oscam.
    2.. You need a server to share your card, you are also using oscam as server..
    3.. dvbapi as far as I was aware was just used to watch TV on the server (Most commonly in STB's)

    From what I can see, there is no need for cccam or dvbapi in this setup

    Master G helped me out with the configs, have you got a minute to look at my setup? Really would help me out.

    Why, Is there still a problem?

    I do not have the time for TeamViewer or anything like that but if you post configs and explain your problem I will have a look..

    I was on a version mentioned, and I never get my entitlements updated. I'm using a raspberry pi with and omnikey reader. I've now done a fresh install with the latest version of oscam. But I'm now getting" could not detect dvbapi version"

    Any help would be great.

    Why are you using dvbapi on raspberry pi?
    There is no need for it. Update your card from trusted client box's..

    Post your configs.. server, user & conf (Remove sensitive data)

    If you only have 1 reader on the amiko disable loadbalancer by removing these lines in oscam.conf

    lb_mode = 1
    lb_save = 100
    lb_min_ecmcount = 2
    lb_reopen_seconds = 300
    lb_retrylimit = 800
    lb_stat_cleanup = 4
    lb_auto_timeout_t = 500

    If that does not sort the issue change inactivity timeout in [reader]
    inactivitytimeout = 3600

    Also try changing
    nice = -10

    Lastly, is the SLY_UK_#blank [reader] on your local network?
    If so, use the local IP address rather than DNS address..
    & if "SLY_UK_#blank" is the real name for that reader, change it to "SLY_UK"
