How to Flash a New Image on the Dreambox TWO UHD

This guide walks you through installing a new Enigma2 firmware (image) on your Dreambox TWO UHD receiver.

Prerequisite: Download your preferred DreamOS OE2.6 image from the official Dreambox TWO UHD firmware source.

Flashing Steps:

  1. Power Cycle: Turn the receiver OFF using the rear switch, then back ON.
  2. Enter Flash Mode: As soon as the LED above the front button lights up, briefly press and hold the button upward. Release immediately. The device's IP address will display on your TV.
  3. Access Web Interface: Enter this IP address (or http://dreamtwo) into a web browser on a computer connected to the same network.
  4. Upload Firmware:
    • Click the "Firmware" button.
    • Click "Browse" and select your downloaded image file.
    • Crucial: Ensure the "Backup and Restore Settings" options are unchecked.
    • Click "Go!" to start the flash process.
  5. Complete & Reboot: After a "Finished successfully" message, click "Click here to reboot." The receiver will restart with the new image.

Alternative: Rescue Mode via Telnet

If the standard method fails, you can force Rescue Mode:

  1. Connect via Telnet (e.g., using PuTTY).
  2. Enter these two commands sequentially:text
    Code
    echo "rescue" >> /proc/stb/fp/boot_mode
reboot


  3. After the reboot, the IP will appear on screen. Continue the process from Step 3 above.

  • Dear friends I have a dream two image newnigma2 ok. I see talking about the android system but this is just the coreELEC or a kodi, I thought we could have the full amdroid operating system

  • Also, switching from one system to the other does not work, we have to take the card out to start enigma2

  • It is possible to install Android on a SD card for the One. There is a guide here

  • can you post some photos , because i can not understand what you mean?Are you running the latest version ? The previous had a small bug about the screen resolution.

  • is there any firmware that isnt dead link,or without sound etc.

    i.ve been everywhere MAN i been.......enough of that :smiling face: .box is brand new .crashed first boot...Managed to get fixed thru htt.dreamlink/and restore ,but want decent firmware and theres none i can find....Also the flash option isnt on box.quick depress of button just boots ..long press repair option.Apls :thinking face: NY IDEAS ta
