XStreamity v3.94
New files on post 1
Just changing the way I close url connections once a file is downloaded.
Might help with the issue people are having with downloading large EPGs from flakey servers.
Probably wont though. You cant polish a turd.

Corrected my import errors. Sorry
today is a good day to experiment with this.
Lots of UK 3 oclock kick offs causing server chaos.
Try again. I changed the user agent and reverted most of the url connection code.
Seems a lot more stable on shitty providers.

Well that was ridiculously simple.
Fixed short epg (long press of epg button), by using other api command.
I already had all the code in there to do this. Only had to amend one url and add one line to strip out previous results.
Also added back in some menu bars on playlists screen.
When the internet connection drops, the channel freezes but when the connection returns the channel doesn't restart, to make it work I have to change the channel; Is there anything I can do to make it restart automatically?

Have a look at Quarter pounder plugin. It restarts the streams for you

OK, it seems I was recently experimenting with user-agents in my plugin and allowing gzip content for faster download.
This seems to be causing problems for some lines.
I have just tested and fixed hellinghaus line by reverting back to my original simple user-agent.

Not a major release despite now going to version 4. There has just been that many updates. (only 267 updates in 3 years )
Reverted my user-agent string to help fix providers not loading that had gzipped content. hellinghaus
Also removed some noise from log files. Probably doesn't effect many people unless you always have debug logs on (which you shouldn't especially as serviceapp never shuts up ).
I have also dropped the timeout on playlist list screen to. From 10 to 5. If this causes your working line to not work. Let me know.
googd morning!!
where can i find epgimport.py? and for all countries?
If you "epgimport.py". for https sources mean here: https://www.linuxsat-support.c…ment/197161-epgimport-py/
KiddaC As most will agree this is a great app. So apologies for making this suggestion
I know having a "favourites" section for the Series isn't currently possible. And this really is the only thing that is missing.
So what about a "Recent Search" folder instead that just remembers your recent searches? In this folder then you could have the option to select one of our recent searches which would do a search in the "ALL" category and bring you to the search results. This way you could find your Series quite quickly without having to type it into the search over and over.
An option then to remove listings from this folder would be handy (for when you are finished watching a particualar series).
Thanks.
use new virtual keyboard. That remembers your searches. I assumed everyone used this new virtual keyboard :)

Is it possible to add subtitles on some channels and if yes, instructiuon will be appreciated
If you see the "SUB" icon in the infobar the subtitles are avaiable.
Press the audio button on your RC and then Yellow button to select from the subtitle menu the sub you want to use.
Works just the same as with regular Sat/Cable/Terrstrial TV
is it possible to get subtitles in xstreamity channels ?
Well bellejt correct answer is yes and no. This is up to the provider. If the provider stream has subtitles you will see the small sub icon in the infobar.
Then just press Audio button and Yellow button to select the subtitles available in the stream. Just the same way you do it for your DVB channels

To be honest I have never seen subtitles avalable from any of my providers any on live IPTV streams , I have seen some streams with different choices of audio language and not a lot of them think they were HEVC.
No it not often but some provider who are targeting special markets like Scandinavia where subtittles is common
They have subtitles for the scandinavian live channels.
