I have a Trio 4K that has a strange problem. It keeps on putting up the screen the OK button menu intermittently. If I unplug the front panel from the motherboard the fault stops. Do you have any technical advice for me to solve this? It's not a mechanical problem as I removed the pcb from the plastic faceplate. Also I checked the switches and none of them is shorted.

Did you downloaded a new clean image openpli, and reflashed from zero ?

Dear Toysoft, I fixed it. It was the ic in the front panel that was going mad.

Can you please suggest a fix for my trio 4k. My remote control is not controlling the box. When I press any key on remote, the blue light on the box starts to flash, suggesting the box is receiving the signal but I cannot select any functions.
I tried flashing a new openpli image, when it comes up to the boot selection, I can't even use the front panel keys for selection, they do not respond.
The box already has open atv installed, this let me control the box from front panel but not by remote control.
Ps. The box was working fine when last used. Was left unused for 6 months, when I switched on next time the remote control stopped working.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Gigablue remote controls have different remote control codes i,e 1 and 2 in case you may have another gigablue stb so you can have seperate remote for each stb.
try pressing giga button and 5 for at least 5 seconds and see if that helps. that changes remote code I have had this problem before even when trying other images some are set in image as code 2 others as code 1

Thanks for your replies. I decided to open the box and press on the connectors and this seems to done the trick. Must be a dry joint or lose connection, but did not see any thing obvious.
