why does someone need to part of the vix team to like vix? lol are you for real with that statement?

Just ignore him mate, he's another so called expert with no idea how a image works or what goes into building one, except to release a shed load of horrible backups with his name plastered all over them, as if to try and con users into thinking he's a image builder.

Right then Pheonix - Tonight is the night lol I'm gona get home and load that bad boy vix on -

Is it true that it has ABM already on the image ?

I also wanted to know if you can set the blue buttons on the remote as channel favourites:06:

ABM was built and is maintained / updated by the ViX team, so yes it's built into ViX by default. as for button swapping there is a plugin built in but the coloured buttons are hard coded and the blue button links directly to the ViX sub menu, so it's something I would not recommend changing.

ViX has its own original backup manager built in.

Blue button > ViX > backup manager = this creates a plugin and settings backup which can be restored back to a ViX image

Blue button > ViX > image manager = this allows you to create a full image backup as well as the ability to download images directly from the ViX server and flash them directly without a USB stick, also known as couch flashing.

Remember when loading bootlogos to the newer ViX images to send them to /etc/enigma2/ this way if you ever want to revert back to the default bootlogo you just need to delete this one and the receiver will default back to it's master bootlogo file.

Personally I never had a issue with Vista in the two years I ran it but due to the total pile of **** that was windows 8, there is no way in hell i'm upgrading to window 10 free or otherwise. I'd rather just go whole hog with linux instead.

Also Nano you missed one Windows ME (millennium edition) which I also ran for a number of years and had no real problems with came between Windows 98 SE and XP.

Think you mean how many "peers" not clients can it take......

Also have a look at the Vu zero, the solo is a really old spec now and more expensive than the zero......

I'd personally rather wait out a little longer for the TM Nano SE instead, the Zero and Solo SE look terrible and have very poor heat exchange due to their plastic design.

if the HD service doesnt work through card sharing, how are the streaming sites sending out their hd sly sports. they must have a card in a server

Quite easy, they will have a streaming box hooked up to a official receiver, something like a monsoon media Vulkano box or a slingbox, then stream that so they are not even touching the encryption just streaming.

Discovery Communications International will bid for rights to screen English Premier League football, stepping into the multi-billion-pound auction along with, at least *** and BT.

Bids for the next contract are due early next month and Discovery is planning to take part, according to Bloomberg. *** and BT paid over £3 billion to share the rights for three years from from 2012.

Discovery, which recently acquired majority control of Eurosport, is increasingly taking part in European sports auctions. In June, it made a failed bid for the TV rights to Italy’s Serie A soccer matches, and is reportedly pursuing French rugby rights.

The participation of bidders such as Discovery is likely to push the price of Premier League football even higher.

Hi all when I install the libpython2.7-1.0 from feeds it freezes the box? as in need to reflash as nothing works after a re-boot? am I doing something wrong? latest vix image on a solo2 thanks in advance rab

Why exactly are you trying to install dependencies for this ?, this plugin was built specifically for the ViX image which already has all the dependencies installed within the image.

I had a very unpleasant experience buying from Lavatronics, Threats were made by them when i got PayPal involved after they tried to offload a knacker receiver on me. They deliberately made it difficult for me to get my money back from them. If i hadn't paid by Paypal it would have probably been difficult to get my money back.

If anybody is stupid enough to buy stuff from them after all the warnings they have seen deserve to get burned by them as far as i am concerned.

    Nano

The sad thing is they are very very good at making promises to potential customers, but like all true con-men once they have your money your pretty much stuffed, and god forbid you try to call them or ask for help on their so called forum.

For me the fact that they removed a bug reporting feature for their ViX clone image because and I quote "we received some bug reports" say all I need to know about their level of customer support.
