You will need a V-Box to drive the Actuator on the dish if it is still working 15 years unused could have caused any known issues with water ingress in the actuator, your best bet is to take off the actuator and give it some TLC. Take apart and clean and then grease the internal drive spindle.
if it still works you will need 4 core motor cable connected to the actuator and then the other end in the V-Box and away you go.
There are only four connections on the actuator and the V-Box these are Motor+ Motor- Sensor+ Sensor- make sure you connect these correctly and corresponding each other before use

I use a TP-Link AC1900 with a VM Superhub 3, the TP-Link is running the latest ddwrt firmware and with the router in modem only mode 192.168.100.1 i can still allocate the TP-Link to do 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.200
Without any problems

But... what is the splitter for then ? :/
Sorry for the big no-no btw...didn't know T_T
You mean the Splitter that came with the Solo4K that is primarily for use with a Unicable/SCR LNB and not standard LNB's which you probably have on the end of your Dish
-
You cannot split a satellite signal its a big no-no, for tuner B to actually receive the same as tuner A you need another feed from your dish and from the looks of it you have a diseqc switch so if you want to have all available satellites that you have on Tuner A you need to swap out all four Single feed LNB's for at least Twin feed LNB's and then install another diseqc switch with another feed down to your Solo 4K
-
Use a Satellite Launch Amplifier just after the dish installation and then connect that to your Multiswitch, The launch Amp will take care of any .db loss you may encounter from the multiswitch thus negating a bigger dish install
-
You can have both the Sky Q system and a standard receiver you need to request from either Sky or the installer that does the Job for a Hybrid LNB which has ouputs for both systems

It is hard to find a Twin DVB-C/T/T2 receiver especially in your price range, as MasterG has linked above the closest to your price range would be the: Vu+ Solo SE V2 Twin Tuner DVB-C/T/T2 Cable / Terrestrial Linux HD PVR Ready Receiver - £169
The Xtrend ET8500 has 4 x Plug & Play Tuner slots so in theory could have 4 x DVB-C/T/T2 tuners installed but would be way above your budget

++++1 The Edision is also assembled in Korea with far superior build compared to the cheaper chinese made Zgemma, also the Edision has official Vix support unlike the latter

Just to clear things up infinity doesnt use vdsl it uses PPPoE
Just to clear that up Fibre over Copper uses either a VDSL modem or combined VDSL/Router PPPoE is the communication part without the Modem there is no PPPoE.
BT phased out there separate VDSL modem and separate HH3 router for the combination HH5 with both built in.
So presently the OP cannot use a 3rd party router without it having a VDSL modem built into it, He could of course seek out a secondhand official VDSL Modem from Ebay but for this you have to determine which cabinet you are connected to as BT use 2 types of VDSL modems for 2 different CABS.
You are either connected to a Huawei or ECi Cabinet so you have to identify which one your connected to before you purchase a separate modem as they are not interchangeable and only work with the correct one.
Best of Luck
-
You would have to seek out a combined VDSL/Router combination to use
-
For people to give you an idea on router choices you need to specify are you connected with ADSL or Fibre, as the Routers with VDSL(Fibre) are a little more limited than with ADSL
-
Goodness are they still using a security board with battery backup like the old ET9000/9200 etc.. i thought those days where gone
-
The Triax TD110 will possibly out perform that no brand 120cm dish as it does appear to look like a Triax copy, if your looking at a 1.2m dish then the 2 to be looking at are a secondhand Channel master 1.2m or a Gibertini 1.25m both of these will perform far netter than the one you quoted on ebay

I think this line pretty much sums it all up sounds very much like a payserver to me which is not tolerated on this board
Quotenot sure of the difference between a share and a payserver?

you have found the problem yourself when you take a direct feed into the DVB-C tuner and omit the splitter as you say your FTA channels are fine with no sign of freezing or breakup which means you need some form of cable booster.
As soon as you split the signal you are taking away XX.db out of the incoming signal which the tuner cannot handle, Hope your not using a full frequency splitter ie: 5-2400mhz as these also can create problems
Ideally if you do not have a spare official VM splitter then ebay Tratec 2 way splitter for a 5-1000mhz one.
Also log into the VM superhub advanced section and post a screenshot of your power levels

As i stated previously sounds like an issue with either cabling/Connectors or you need to add an attenuator or a forward path type to solve the problem, My Onboard Dual DVB-C/T/T2 tuner on the 4K has zero problems although i do have the equipment and parts to remedy any problems for myself
-
Do you get the Freezing and glitching on FTA cable channels as this would point to a signal/cable problem, could even be too much signal overloading the Tuner
-
Sky will be Transmitting 4K UHD via Satellite only BT through Broadband
-
That Labgear is basically just another version of the Triax Tri-Link so will work no problem
