  • thank you for helping me.

    Yes i have smargo in one of two USB in raspi.

    how to reflect this

    this is what i'm was using in dreambox

    [reader]
    Label = ***IT
    Protocol = internal
    Detect = CD
    Device = /dev/sci0
    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,1,0
    boxid = ******
    blocknano = all
    mhz = 368
    cardmhz = 368
    blockemm-u = 1
    blockemm-s = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-bylen = 183,81

  • ok you need to go to the web interface and select readers from the top of the main page then select scan usb you should see something like this...

    Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) IC
    iProduct 0
    iSerial 3 Reader 224

    Now in your oscam server file you need to edit it to reflect the Bus and device like this....

    Label = SLY_uk
    Device = 001:006
    Protocol = smartreader

    where the device + is you put your address so in this example it would be Device = 001:005

    Reboot server and check

  • thanks for helping me...

    quite difficult to set all and make it work..

  • All running for me now without any problems. Mustn't have waited long enough previously to test - all good now.

    Running on the Pi is far more stable (it's rock solid) on the Pi rather than running on my Amiko Alien2 so the Amiko is now just a client off my Pi.

  • Thx for the tuturial -> installed it this weekend and it is running very fine...

    When i first got the raspberry pi; i tried openelec (XMBC 12) with plugin oscam installed.
    This also worked fine; i only could not use the cron commands to restart the Pi everyday...
    Cron was activated but it simply did not work; only solution was manually rebooting wich i do not like...

    So i decided this weekend to try this tutorial...

  • Hi,

    I had a spare RPi so thought I would give this tutorial a go.

    Worked like a charm and am running OScam fine - one thing I was not sure on was whether rebooting the RPi every day is necessary? I used to run OScam on my VU Duo for weeks/months on end with no issues so don't see why the Rpi should be any different. Is it because it has a slower cpu/memory or just as a precaution?

  • hello, i finish the script to make update

    with putty type:

    Quote

    cd /var/local
    nano oscamupdate.sh

    past the script

    ctrl+o for save and ctrl+x for exit

    Quote

    chmod 755 oscamupdate.sh

    and run it

    Quote

    ./oscamupdate.sh

    or setup your webif for run this script

    @ musogeek : can you add it to the first post for oscam user who followed your post and a big thank you for your tutorial

  • If we are using just oscam, were do we add the clients? And are clients using C: lines or anu other. I have just tried to use ubuntu server with oscam/cccam, want to try this rasperry wich i think i awsome.

  • Oscam support-tutorials-config

    check the tutorials above for oscam support, and also the oscam wiki - link at the top of the forum. This thread is getting a bit messy, as a lot of the posts are for pure oscam related help. If the Raspberry Pi server is working, and if it is just a Oscam config issue then look in the above sections, and post requests for help there instead of here, you would probably get a better response.:firework:

    If I take a while to respond, you can see why.....

  • Try here for older compiled versions. Not tried the precompiled ones myself so not sure about how muc success you will have.

  • I use Pcduino ... Pcduino is armv7 such as raspberry pi...i have installed Oscam with this guide (Oscam server setup guide - Raspberry Pi from scratch). I need to configure Oscam on server...and client? Their use CCcam normally? Thanks :D

    If it is all set up, you are better off looking at the oscam wiki, the oscam threads and guides etc - here is an example of a thread that could be of use to you
