Like Tebaa said.....no Clones of the Solo2 have surfaced yet so i think you can rest assured its not a Clone buddy!

Perhaps see what vuplus come back with! if your entering the correct details!

So in a nutshell the Vix image isn't Finalised (must be an echo) and when it is it will be released! Whether that be at launch of the product or not!

    Glad its cleared up!

Ps Whether a User is in the know or not! Or pretending to be! Unless the information is misleading or factually incorrect all users are free to post what they find/know as long as it is related to the topic or useful for lovers of the Hobby!

    :firework:

So factually is the Vix image finalised then? and will it be ready for release when the Duo2 is launched?

Same Story as Solo2 it seems!!! Can't you all just get Along?????

of course the Third party images are going to be somewhat behind the OI

unless you have contacts within those dev teams you can't say anything about the status of their work.

Which one is it? A user puts some relevant information up about a box everyone is interested in and rather then offer some good insight! its oh don't say that cause you don't speak for them?????

    Get a Grip

Are you trying to connect line to server or line to your receiver?

Receiver for viewing - server for sharing and as you have no local a server would seem a bit un-needed!

Do you have a Local Card? If No go Below - If Yes you need to set it up either through a PC server or Your Receiver to share out with.

Do you have a Share? From a Server? - If No go below - If Yes you should of been provided with a line! and told whether to use Cccam or Newcamd - Cccam can be a C or N line and goes via FTP to /etc in receiver!
Newcamd will be a CWS= line and goes in Newcamd.list and ftp to usr/keys - activate the cam in the image and it should connect and show!

Without a Share from someone you know i presume you are using a PayServer and any support, questions should be directed to them/him/her/whoever!

The search bar helps many a people out and IMO results always seem to be on point, you just need to look through it all!

You seem to be struggling at the basics buddy! i suggest you read carefully through the Newbie section and evaluate whether THE HOBBY is something you wish to participate in or whether just watching TV at a Free or Reduced rate is the priority?

Vu Range great boxes and excellent starting point buddy! Well supported also!

Not a 100% sure as i havent setup me Motor dish! (SLAP) lol! but if it was working or is still working/picking up sats with other box im sure it should be ok with VU! (someone will confirm)

Firmware - Vix is a good starting point - Look in our backup images for pics of what it looks like! Most start there and delve into others! Its a simple download > copy to USB > insert into box and switch on to reflash....takes minutes so no hard ship to try and see what suits best! Most work on same principles!

USB - If you dont have a USB lying around you can use grab one, but you may get more for your money if you shop around! Solo will take 2.5 hdd so you will need one of them or an external HDD (powered are better)

Wifi not needed mate and questionable, connect wired via ethernet and use Network homeplugs if needed...better IMO

Really gonna be down to Budget buddy IMO

£300 for Solo2 (maybe a bit of price drop when Duo comes out but doubt it) or £450 for the Duo2

The difference between the 2 is more cosmetic / bigger capacity! (Extra Tuner, Double Flash (not important if you use HDD, USB) , Double Ram) Processors the Same! Is there gonna be much difference in speed with the Ram? doubt we will notice it yet!

Solo2 rocks IMO and small and compact!

Streaming issue could be down to bandwidth? Plugin setup e.t.c? Speaking for solo2 seems to work seamlessly streaming to Idevices and the other way using airplayer and VU app!

What is your setup? Do you have a Sub/Share or server? is you box connecting to your share/sub/server via a line (C Line)?

You need a connection via the C Line to your sub/share/server in order to open up channels (Unscramble)

Its not just plug and play unfortunately......also with different Sats i presume you have a Dish capable of receiving these channels?

A lot to learn mate....start in newbie section to understand the hobby and terminology used!

Presuming you have Internet line connected!

Off top of me head look at the network settings!

You need to activate Network Settings or DHCP! Toggle with the option!

You should come on line then and if line entered correctly all should show!

    lol just found this

if not go back into menu, select Network, then 'Network Setup', and turn DHCP 'off' by using arrow keys and then hitting apply.
