How to flash a Mutant HD60 4K Android Enigma2 Receiver

Flashing a new Enigma2 image onto your Mutant HD60 4K from a USB stick is quick — the whole process takes about 1.5 minutes.

Flashing the receiver

  1. Power off the receiver.
  2. Insert the USB stick with the image files into one of the receiver's USB ports.
  3. Press and hold the small button next to the TF card slot on the left side of the box.
  4. Power the receiver on.
  5. After a short while the red power LED on the front starts to blink — you can now release the button.
  6. On success, the receiver reboots itself once flashing completes.
  7. During setup you'll be offered the chance to restore a previous backup, if you've made one on your USB stick.

⚠️ Don't interrupt the flash. While the receiver is flashing, do not power it down for any reason — doing so can cause serious or permanent damage.

  • Mutant HD60 Flash Instructions

    1. Turn off the receiver using the power button on the back.

    2. Unzip the image and copy the /hd60 folder and the "bootargs.bin" and "fastboot.bin" files to a formatted FAT32 USB flash drive.

In my experience, smaller USB flash drives work best, e.g., (1 GB to 4 GB).

    3. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the box.

    4. Press and hold the (small, inconspicuous) "U-boot" button on the left side of the receiver, look picture

    5. Turn on the receiver using the power button on the back.

    6. When FLSH appears on the display, the flash process has begun. Release the button.

The process takes about 5 minutes, and the receiver will then restart.

The new image can now be configured as desired.
