Yes, I found a way to do it, but I don't think my jedi epg maker was working properly when I was testing.

I will post something for you before the week is out.

Kiddac, Is there any chance of making a version of this plugin that is compatible with OpenPli 8.3 please?

On OpenPli, the error message 'Some plugins are not available - Extensions/SlykEpg7day (No module named boxbranding) using the ipk in this thread.

Install the file from the first post of this thread and then replace the plugin.py with the attached one.

Restart Enigma2

If it works with Pli I do not now. But this takes care of the missing boxbranding module issue.

oh yeah its only used to determine where to put it in the main menu. (and like you say, that is very old code)

Its not really needed. I can just put it randomly in the main menus globally.

oh no.. my mistake this is finding the epg menu to but it in the epg menu depending on the image.

Thanks seagen, the modified plugin.py in post 89 worked a treat to get this working on Open Pli 8.3.

KiddaC I really do think that the menu id entry for EPG is what 99.9% of the user use or even are aware of.

They open it from the Plugin Browser so in my opinion you can just skip it.

And special since its not an SystemPlugin but an extension.

If it where a SystemPlugin then of cause I would excpect to not find it in the Plugin Browser

But instead it would be found in the correct Menu.

Almost all the images have the EPG menu now PLI, OE-A). For benefit of people on old/other images, check if EPG menu is present, if so put it there, otherwise in the main menu.

The replacement for boxbranding is box info. But not all images have that.

Yeah I think originally copied code to similar what epg-importer was doing.

But no need for it to live in an images epg menu. It was just convenient to put relevant things together.

Slyk EPG 7 day - V2.06

New file on post 1

Removed the plugin from epg menus (now only lives in plugin menu), and therefore now completely removed boxbranding dependency

Updated the lamedb file as well for those that use it.
